In yoga there are five types of neck movements called Griva Shakti Vikasak- neck strengthening exercises that works facial release. Do them everyday- doesn’t take more than two minutes. But effect is- neck and face in shape, removal or prevention of cervical pain, strengthening vagus nerve and removal of tension- tension mostly resides between the shoulders and below the neck.

Thank you for sharing this simple yet fascinating tip. I have naturally done this for as long as I can remember but didn't know that I was stimulating my vagus nerve. Our bodies are much more in tune with what they need than our mind's grasp sometimes!

Well this is well timely!! I’ve been having a lot of stress in this area via muscle tightness. Thanks for the share!

I am NEVER in social engagement mode ... I expect to be jumped from behind 24/7 🥴

Have you done any work regarding people who are “Empathetic to a fault.” I’m definitely interested in your take on this.

Another good one: - Look up as far as you can with neutral spin, mouth open, slowly close mouth and hold stretch for 5 deep breaths - bring head to neutral and look as far as you can to side and hold for 5 deep breaths. - repeat on other side

Or sing, do vocal impro's... When one relaxes the jaw & tongue, it also triggers the Vagus.

Thanks a lot for sharing these exercise lately. Helping a lot.

Thank you for this tip. I just did it at my desk and it gave a great release of the neck tension.

Ok that really does feel good!
