Mental toughness and physical toughness." The definition: "Mental toughness is the ability to move on to the next most important thing." "We all have events that occur in our lives, but what is our ability to move on to the next one and learn from the past experience? That's a great definition of mental toughness." Simple and powerful. It's not about ignoring what happened - it's about not letting it paralyze you. Then there's physical toughness: "Physical toughness for us is our desire for mission accomplishment is greater than our desire for personal comfort." Read that again. Do White Men Need to Get Tougher? 1. Yes 2. No 3. It Depends 1. Yes, those who live in Gotham City should definitely endeavour to get as capable as possible (training MMA, for example). 2. No, toughness (in the conventional sense) is not what counts in this situation. A good example is the USA. A country full of tough men, armed to the teeth. Yet, their demographic situation is abysmal. 56% White and declining. Individual toughness does not matter in this particular struggle. The struggle is political. Thus, political will and participation matter. 3. It depends on how one defines toughness. A good example of someone truly tough (tough in a disciplined and intelligent way) is Martin Sellner of Austria (@Martin_Sellner). Martin has been a political activist for a very long time. He has kept his focus on presenting our views and solutions (i.e. remigration) in a professional and appealing way the entire time. This level of fortitude is admirable. This is the right kind of toughness. This is the kind of toughness we need – not rioting in the street.

When I did this demonstration, it revealed something every athlete eventually learns the hard way: The moment we obsess over what we can’t control — umpires, coaches, weather, opponents, outcomes — the game gets harder and less enjoyable. But when we lock in on the controllables — our breath, effort, body language, and next-pitch focus — everything simplifies. The game slows down, confidence rises, and enjoyment comes back. The biggest separator in sports and life is mental toughness. And the foundation of mental toughness is controlling the controllables. Like any skill, it’s built through intentional reps. And life gives us opportunities to train it every single day.
