I do not support reservation, but I also do not support personal insults or degrading remarks. Ajeet Bharti’s comments about Chandrashekhar Azad’s appearance are completely unacceptable, and criticizing those remarks does not make someone Dalit or Muslim, despite what some of his followers may claim. I am from the Open Category myself, and I openly criticize Ajeet Bharti on this issue. Some of my relatives attended this protest, but I personally chose not to go because I do not see the value in wasting my time, money, and energy on what increasingly looks like a publicity exercise. If the discussion were genuinely about removing caste from society and reforming the reservation system, that would be a different conversation. But turning it into personal attacks, religious divisions, and Brahmin versus Kshatriya versus Vaishya arguments defeats the entire purpose. I will not disclose my specific caste because I have no interest in creating another pointless caste battle. Anyone who attended the protest should seriously ask themselves whether they are actually achieving meaningful reform or simply giving publicity to personalities and political agendas.
