HAPPENING NOW: A catastrophic software failure is taking IT systems down across South Australia. It is understood the outage is impacting computers running on Microsoft software such at banks and airports. Customers are paying with cash and facing long queues at Adelaide supermarkets including Coles at Welland and Aldinga Beach. Federal Communications Minister Michelle Rowland says Triple Zero calls are working. #7NEWS

DEVELOPING: Adelaide Airport has been caught up in the chaos of a global technology disaster plus severe weather. Passengers are being warned to brace for major delays - at least two flights have been cancelled. US cybersecurity technology company CrowdStrike says the crash is related to its Falcon Sensor, which its website says, “blocks attacks on your systems”. #7NEWS
