As of today, March 19, the Home Front Command has issued a new directive reducing that number of passengers down to approximately one hundred and thirty passengers per flight. This is a government-mandated decision that EL AL is required to follow. What this means for you: roughly half of passengers currently booked on upcoming U.S. flights will be receiving cancellation notifications. If your flight is canceled, you are entitled to a full refund or a voucher - please visit for details and next steps. We are also pausing the assignment of additional passengers to U.S.-bound flights at this time.
