Less than 1% of illegal aliens in America work agriculture. The vast majority of them make a living draining the social service nets in major cities. The "who will pick our crops?" argument is dead in the water.

Glad I found your account! Funny thing- had a seed swap/share at work today and we were going through all the seeds and I had some cotton bolls I had saved with the seeds in them from summer. A co worker asked me what they were and I asked if she wanted some. She laughed hard and said I’m not right she isn’t growing that! I was completely lost until she said her folks left the cotton fields she ain’t going back. I just was like oh I didn’t think about that and she laughed harder and said that’s why she likes me. I’m just a plant nerd gardener who sees fellow plant nerd and nothing else. This is where we need to be. I don’t see black or brown (or yellow or purple or green) - people are here legally and contributing to society or they aren’t. I WANT people to leave and come back legally as a part of the country. I don’t want to see deportations but I recognize it is important to protect the borders and keep us safe and behaving with respect to our communities. We must all work together to make our country great - these people who want to destroy us from within - those ones I am relieved to see gone.
