No conspiracies here but it seems like something done on purpose. How do you transport that hell of a long beam without services cars in front or in the back to be on the lookout for this, next week shortage on something else just wait and see.

Looked like the truck with beam was moving (not stuck) to me.

Seems with all the rules and regulations this wouldn't happen so frequently, especially with cargo like the bridge beam. They would know how many crossings on their trip and the train schedule.

Technically it was in Collegedale, not Chattanooga. Near the McKee baking plant on Apison Pike.

That a hell of a long beam! The vid shows the crossing arm was intact, trying to close. The tracks were cleared, started crossing, too slow, too long, bad timing with incoming train. Is there a sensor to warn the arms did not close, to signal train to stop?🧐

@JordanHallWX When I was 16 and a bike rider, a pickup truck tried to beat a train. Collision was not 20 ft from me.I was on the upstream side. Truck split in 2, cab on other side of train. Horrible few minutes waiting for train to stop. 3 guys in truck only dazed and confused. Never forgot!
