I’m not sure what the point of Erika Kirk flying to Nashville to meet with Candace Owens was. Today on Candace’s show, she had a man on who claims to be a former U.S. Army medic — who is clearly troubled — and who said he was 95 percent sure that Erika Kirk, Brian Harpole (Charlie Kirk’s head of security), and Nevada Congressman Mark Amodei met at Fort Huachuca in Arizona the day before Charlie Kirk was assassinated. The implication being that they are part of a vast conspiracy to assassinate Charlie Kirk. Candace repeatedly said on her show that she could only confirm the man’s identity and that he was at Fort Huachuca that day but couldn’t confirm any other parts of his story.

Candace initially promoted her Fort Huachuca story by explicitly declaring, “Charlie Kirk was assassinated and our military was involved.” On her show, she went even further, saying: "I just cannot see how this would lead to anything other than a full confession from the government about the military's involvement in his assassination." Those are direct statements. She claimed that the U.S. military killed Charlie Kirk based on an alleged meeting at Fort Huachuca, and she named Erika Kirk, Brian Harpole, Rep. Mark Amodei, and Cabot Phillips as being involved in that meeting. Yes, when questioned yesterday by Harrison H. Smith ✞, she walked this back and said she could not definitively call it an assassination meeting. But that does not change what she originally claimed and publicly promoted. You’ve also said that Rep. Mark Amodei’s alibi “isn’t good enough.” However, even Candace quietly acknowledged yesterday that Amodei’s alibi appears legitimate. There are zoomed-in photos showing him seated in Congress earlier that day. She has now also effectively admitted that Cabot Phillips’s alibi appears legitimate. At this point, many people seem to be treating her word as unquestionable and refusing to accept reality until she herself concedes it. But in my view, Brian Harpole also has a legitimate alibi.
