🚨BREAKING: ICE agents attempted to force their way into the Ecuadorian Consulate in Minneapolis. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a foreign government facility, protected under international law. In the video, a consulate staff member rushes to the door and clearly tells the agent he cannot enter. The... agent responds by threatening him, saying, “If you touch me, I will take you.” Which is wild, because the staff member isn’t advancing… he’s standing in the doorway of a sovereign diplomatic building, doing his job. The staff member then says, “This is the consulate. This is a foreign government consulate. You cannot enter.” He then says, “Okay. Close the door, bye!” And locks it. Let’s be very clear about what just happened… ICE agents tried to unlawfully enter a foreign nation’s consulate, then threatened to arrest a foreign government employee for stopping them. That is a serious violation of international law, diplomatic norms, and basic sovereignty. It’s one thing to terrorize immigrants inside U.S. immigration courts… It’s another thing entirely to threaten another country’s citizens on their own sovereign ground. If a foreign government sent armed agents to a U.S. consulate and tried to abduct Americans… The U.S. would treat it as a hostile act.show more

Dramatic footage captured the moment immigration enforcement agents attempted to enter the Ecuadorian consulate in Minneapolis on Tuesday, January 27, with staffers moving quickly to block them from the premises. 🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are now threatening to violently assault U.S. citizens for the crime of sitting in their own car, in a parking lot… Yes. Literally that. ICE agents are now claiming U.S. citizens are not allowed to be in the same parking lot as them. In the video, you can hear an agent approach a person sitting quietly in their car and announce that he is ICE, and that other ICE agents are also in the parking lot… Then the agent immediately issues what he calls his “one and only warning.” The person responds, “I was just on the phone.” The agent responds, “No. No you’re not.” The agent then escalates to a direct threat of violence, saying… “This is your one and only warning. I catch you here again, I’m yanking you out of that fucking car because you’re taking pictures on your little GoPro.” So, to be clear… a U.S. citizen is being threatened with assault not for impeding, not for interfering, not for committing any crime… …but for having a dash cam. The agent then adds, “If anything happens to our vehicles, or anybody in here, I’m coming straight for you.” Then more threats… “I will yank you out of that fucking car, and I will fucking put charges on you.” Charges for what? He never says. Because there are none. And then he admits the quiet part out loud… “I’ll put you in the fucking domestic terrorists app.” A federal agent threatening to label a U.S. citizen a “domestic terrorist” for sitting in a car while having a dash cam. And then the agent illegally orders the U.S. citizen to “get the fuck out” of the parking lot and tells him he is not allowed to return. To break that all down… an ICE agent used intimidation, retaliation, and threats of violence against a U.S. citizen for exercising their First Amendment rights, and existing in a public space. And then banned the U.S. citizen from returning to the public space. So, just to be absolutely clear… The Trump administration is conditioning the public to obey masked federal agents, without questions and without rights.

Agents walk up to his car window and ask, “Are you following us?” The man replies, “Yeah.” An agent immediately escalates and says, “What you are doing is called impeding federal law enforcement. It’s an 18 U.S.C. §111 charge. This is your first and only warning. If you continue to impede and follow us, you will be arrested.” The man then correctly responds, “Yeah, but I’m not impeding you.” Another agent jumps in and says,“You just openly admitted you were following us, so…” And again, the man correctly explains, “I am following you. After demanding that he show his ID, the U.S. citizen asks if he is free to go, and then tells them to get the F away from his car. Instead of going back to their own cars, the agents tell him to “chill”… after they had already illegally detained him and demanded identification. The U.S. citizen then gets out of his car, to record the agents’ license plates, and one of the ICE agents has the audacity to say: “Sir, please don’t interfere with our investigations.” Interfere with what investigation? He WAS the investigation. If they’re letting him leave, then there is nothing left for him to “interfere” with. Recording government agents, in public, is protected by the First Amendment, and they don’t get to invent an “investigation” to discourage someone from filming. And this is becoming a pattern. ICE agents are stopping whoever they want… and demanding papers. But that is not how constitutional rights work. ICE didn’t have reasonable suspicion that he had committed an immigration violation… since he is a U.S. citizen. So, detaining him, and demanding that he identify himself, violates his Fourth Amendment rights. U.S. citizens are not required to prove their citizenship, to any law enforcement, simply because they were stopped and questioned. And that’s what makes these encounters so dangerous. When U.S. citizens refuse to comply with these unlawful demands, we’ve repeatedly seen ICE agents escalate the situation with physical force. Citizens have been shoved, dragged from vehicles, pinned to the ground, and pepper sprayed after refusing unlawful demands, or asserting their constitutional rights. And a right isn’t a right if exercising it means you risk being assaulted by the very government that’s supposed to protect it. This isn’t just about immigration anymore. It’s about whether every American can exercise their constitutional rights without fearing they’ll be met with intimidation, violence, or retaliation from federal agents. If federal agents can stop U.S. citizens, demand they prove who they are without lawful justification, and then escalate when people refuse… Then nobody’s constitutional rights are safe.

🚨In Key West, an ICE/Border Patrol agent threatened to PULL A U.S. CITIZEN OUT OF THE CAR because he cursed at an agent… then had the audacity to tell the U.S. citizen to “learn your laws.” So, let’s learn them. In the video, Border Patrol agents pulled over a car of U.S. citizens and demanded everyone hand over their IDs. When the passenger says, “Bitch, fuck you,” an agent asks what he said and then threatens to pull him out of the vehicle if he “says one more thing like that.” The passenger correctly asks: “For what? That’s freedom of speech.” The agent responds: “That’s not how that works. Learn your laws.” Oh, we’re going to… Cursing at a government agent is not, by itself, a crime. The First Amendment protects a significant amount of verbal criticism, insults, and profanity directed at law enforcement, as long as it is not a physical threat. The government cannot punish people simply for verbally challenging or criticizing law enforcement. And it gets even worse. After the passenger calls the agent a “fucking white cracker,” the agent asks what he called him… and then tells another agent he is “thinking of calling in and arresting this guy.” For what? Because he hurt your feelings? The government does not get to arrest someone for speech they don’t like. And yes, Border Patrol has special authority near the border. That includes operating immigration checkpoints where agents can briefly stop vehicles, without individualized reasonable suspicion, for immigration questioning. But, that is different from a roving patrol stop. When not operating at a checkpoint, Border Patrol needs reasonable suspicion to pull over a vehicle for immigration questioning. And even at a checkpoint, the agents’ authority is not unlimited. A checkpoint stop does not automatically give them the right to search the vehicle, indefinitely detain people, or arrest someone because they said something an agent didn’t like. The Constitution does not say… “You have freedom of speech, unless a federal agent gets offended.” It says the government cannot punish you for exercising that right. And perhaps the most important part of this entire video is… The passenger knew his rights better than the federal agent threatening him. The agent told the U.S. citizen to learn his laws… But maybe the agent should have learned them first.

The agents stop, get out of their cars, and approach THEM. One agent has his GUN drawn, another has his TASER drawn. The agents tell the legal observers to stop following them. A U.S. citizen responds: “We aren’t doing anything illegal. It’s totally legal to follow you.” He is correct. The First Amendment protects the right to record law enforcement, and federal agents, carrying out their duties in public. And federal regulations specifically recognize that people can record publicly accessible federal activity from public sidewalks, and streets, when they aren’t impeding or disrupting operations. Then, the agent says: “Stop following us, you aren’t going to like the outcome.” That is a serious First Amendment retaliation issue. And then it gets even more dangerous. The same armed federal agents, who just threatened these people with weapons and retaliation… surround the citizens’ car and claim THEY are blocking traffic. But look at the video. The only people blocking traffic are the ICE agents… who have now boxed in the citizens’ car. Agents cannot detain someone because they don’t like being watched. A vehicle stop requires reasonable suspicion of an actual legal violation. And recording and observing ICE agents, from a public place, is not obstruction. It is not illegal. Government agents are supposed to be accountable to the people… not the other way around. The First Amendment protects your right to watch and record your government. The Fourth Amendment limits the government’s power to stop and detain you. And neither one comes with an ICE exception.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents illegally arrested a U.S. citizen for not carrying ID… then dumped him an hour and a half later, miles away, in Minneapolis. In the video, a U.S. citizen is standing in a parking lot while agents illegally racially profile him and try to “run” his information. They can’t identify him. Bystanders repeatedly tell the agents he is a U.S. citizen and that they cannot take him. The agents ignore everyone, walk him to their vehicle, and take him anyway. An hour and a half later, after illegally detaining and transporting him, they drop him off miles from where they kidnapped him. That is an unlawful detention. That is an unlawful arrest. That is government agents disappearing a U.S. citizen because he didn’t have “papers” on him. And this is exactly why you never answer ICE’s questions. The only thing you should ever say to an agent is: “Am I being detained, or am I free to go?” If they are stopping you, they should already know who you are.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were caught on video illegally detaining a U.S. citizen in Richfield, Minnesota. In the video, ICE agents surround a man who is already on his knees on the pavement, with his hands raised, while agents stand over him and verify his citizenship. This alone is a serious constitutional violation. ICE does not have authority to detain U.S. citizens to check their immigration status. They also do not need someone on their knees to “verify” citizenship. And forcing someone into a compliance position on the ground without probable cause constitutes an unlawful detention under the Fourth Amendment. After agents confirm he is a U.S. citizen, the man stands up and begins yelling… visibly angry and shaken. The man is yelling at agents for swarming his car at gun point, a U.S. citizen, and forcing him out. Saying, “I could’ve died.” ICE agents then try to claim it was because of his registration. A line they often use, that still doesn’t justify their actions. What this video shows is federal agents detaining first, forcing compliance, then checking legality afterward… the opposite of how policing in a constitutional system is supposed to work. If ICE can force a U.S. citizen to the ground over a car they happen to be driving, citizenship no longer protects you. This isn’t a minor mistake. It’s a clear abuse of power and a violation of the Fourth Amendment, and every American should be outraged.

And the First Amendment protects the right to record government agents performing their duties in public, as long as you are not actually interfering with what they are doing.
