🚨BREAKING: ICE agents in Thermal, California literally admitted, ON CAMERA, that they stopped a man on his way to work because they saw him leaving a mobile home park. Not because he committed a crime, or they had a warrant. Not because they had evidence he was undocumented. Because... he came from a mobile home park. The Constitution requires police and federal agents to actually have reasonable suspicion before detaining someone. You do not get to stop people because they live in a poorer neighborhood. You do not get to treat an entire community as inherently suspicious. And if the ONLY reason for the stop was “he came from a mobile home park,” that starts looking a whole lot like profiling based on class, ethnicity, or assumptions about immigration status… which is exactly why constitutional protections exist in the first place. The man was a LEGAL permanent resident and was released once they verified it. Which means this man was detained, questioned, and interrupted on his way to work because ICE agents decided where he lived was suspicious enough. Because apparently exercising your constitutional rights is now being treated like obstruction. A father, in Watts, California, was driving his child to school when ICE stopped him and arrested him. When asked why, the agent says: “He didn’t cooperate… he didn’t give us an ID… that’s why.” Not: “He’s undocumented.” Not: “We have a warrant.” Not: “He committed a crime.” Because he didn’t hand over his ID. But it gets worse… In Joliet, IL, ICE agents jumped out of their cars, racially profiled a man, began handcuffing him, and forced him into an unmarked vehicle that had its license plate covered. As U.S. citizens began recording the incident, ICE agents started forcing them farther back, even though they were not interfering with the arrest. In the video, you can hear an officer ask: “So you have no warrants?” The man responds that they already KNOW he doesn’t… because he handed over all of his information. Then he asks: “Why did you pull me over?” An officer says, “You can’t have weed out in the car like that.” The man responds, “Weed’s not illegal. Are you all going to write me a ticket for weed?!?” And another officer ACTUALLY replies… “It’s frowned upon.” It’s frowned upon? Now yes… Ohio law does regulate how marijuana is transported in vehicles, similar to alcohol. If it’s open or improperly stored, officers can issue a citation. A CITATION. Not a situation where a man is pulled out of his car, and have multiple agencies run his information. Because if the issue was truly “improper storage,” then write the ticket and let him go. That’s how laws are supposed to work in a constitutional republic. This wasn’t a “violent criminal.” This wasn’t even an undocumented immigrant. This was someone who had legal authorization to live and work here. So why was ICE trying to pull him over? A witness also says he saw a large white vehicle ram the smaller vehicle, followed by a second impact… And heard gunshots. He says he then saw an officer open the vehicle door, pull a man out with blood covering his head, and heard him say: “I tried to stop.” ICE agents do not have the authority to stop whoever they want, give conflicting orders, escalate an encounter, and then use deadly force when that situation becomes chaotic. If the government gives agents the power to carry weapons and take someone’s life, those agents have a responsibility to make sure they are acting within the law before they create a situation where someone can be killed.
