Classic physics can't explain where the light is coming from in Sonoluminescence. It's just sound waves resonating in water, how can light be produced? Fusion. Uh oh, how can that be? It's not hot enough. The water isn't boiling and glass isn't breaking. Cavitation is a negative energy pressure, equivalent to the Casimir Effect. It must causing ions to fuse. Perhaps even fission where hydrogen breaks from the water molecules. No wonder academics won't touch sonoluminescence.

"Explosion in Kharkiv" or something along those lines is the most frequent post I make. I've probably made a thousand of them by now, if not more. Air raid alerts are so frequent here that I usually don't even post about them. They can last for days, and the citizens of Kharkiv are forced to disregard them. Or we can have twelve of them in a day, and we will also be forced to disregard them. I often see online how central or western Ukraine complains about the alerts, and oh, how much I would give to have an actual solid warning about an attack like them. But "explosions in Kharkiv" always arrive unexpectedly. How surreal it is that we are forced to live like this. How horrific it is that thousands of bombs, missiles, and drones fall on a major city in Europe daily, and all the major press and political figures just pretend it doesn't happen. Because if they admit that it happens and they just watch it year after year, then what kind of people are they? Do they care at all?

And perhaps that is what makes childhood so beautiful. Before the world teaches us otherwise, children trust. Before we learn to measure every relationship, children give freely. Before we become afraid of looking foolish, children simply do what feels right. An adult might walk past because they are busy. Another might notice but hesitate, wondering whether it is their responsibility. A child may not think that far. They just see a person. And perhaps that is one of the quiet lessons children give us without even knowing it: Kindness does not always need an explanation. As we grow older, life teaches us many useful things — how to protect ourselves, how to be careful, how to think before we act. But in learning all of that, we should be careful not to lose the simplest part of ourselves. The part that still notices. The part that still cares. The danger of reasoning by analogy: "The behavior of things on a very tiny scale is simply different. (Atoms) do not behave just like particles. The do not behave just like waves. Atoms do not behave like weights hanging on a spring and oscillating. Nor do they behave like miniature representations of the solar system with little planets going around in orbit. Nor does it appear to be like a cloud or fog of some sort surrounding the nucleus. It behaves like nothing you've seen before." Likewise, the cell is not a deterministic machine or factory. I think I can safely say that nobody understands the cell.

When I was a kid, I was fascinated by lenticular images. I really thought it was magic. Lenticular printing is not something you casually experiment with. It’s expensive. Industrial. Hard to access. So instead of buying it… I rebuilt it. Inside wabi I recreated the same optical behavior using webgl. Not just a transition between two frames, but a small system that reacts to angle like light bending through ridged plastic. It’s strange how something that felt like childhood magic can become something you build yourself. Maybe that’s what technology is supposed to do.

Today is Tsukuyo's birthday! She was always cast as the tree in school plays because of how tall she was, and for a long time that felt like something to be ashamed of. But now she can pull off a disguise so convincing that even a careful eye might be fooled. That is what happens when someone takes the advice to start with what they do best and actually follows through. She keeps asking whether someone like her is really okay. So much criticism lately about the Royals getting gifts, meeting children, & being welcomed by crowds with comments like “They’re billionaires, they don’t need this.” But this completely misses the point.😎 The Royal Family isn’t admired because of money. They are admired because they represent continuity, service, and stability. They bring visibility to charities, shine a light on causes that would otherwise be ignored, and use their platform to support communities, children, veterans, and global initiatives. The problem for the gatekeepers is not that civilization has previously collapsed because of an event. The real problem is that the event is cyclical... If it were a once-in-a-million-years meteor impact that caused a reset, they would have said so. But it is not. It is the Geophysical Event... They will never confirm the event because of “national security.” They need you to keep working and grinding as if everything is going to be okay until things become unbearable. Then they will retreat into their bunkers, and you will be left alone...

Twenty sets was not enough, the four angles were not enough, the drop set at the end was not enough, and the answer is presumably a fifth angle and a whole additional evening. What your arms actually get in a normal week: - Heavy tension from every row, chin and pulldown - Heavy tension from every press, dip and close-grip - Twenty isolation sets piled on top of that - All of it at the end, when the weight has to be light - All of it at length, where damage is highest - A drop set, because they are stubborn - Four days of soreness - One training exposure, seven days later Biceps and triceps are the most damage-sensitive tissue in the building. Two small muscles with almost nothing there to absorb the work. Damage is not a growth signal. It is a repair bill, and repair spends the exact recovery you were hoping to build with. So no, they are not growing no matter how hard you train them. They are not growing because of how hard you train them. What they need instead: - One or two hard sets - Early in the session, while you can still load them properly - Twice a week - Add weight when you can Two of those sets are all the direct arm work I do. The bloke on his eleventh set of pushdowns has been at that machine since I walked in.

If yes, how long did it take to conclude the ball didn’t hit the hand? Because on the broadcast replay, it clearly appears to be handball.
