BREAKING - Walmart is yet again facing another pricing scandal as this customer is going viral after confronting a store manager over hundreds of dollars of overpriced meat, with 2 pound hams being marked as 5, and the manager claiming they can’t be reweighed once they get them.

If the weights are coming from the manufacturer then that means Walmart is likely getting ripped off too.

I also think plumping should be illegal. They inject all these meats with tons of water to make them weigh more. So basically we are paying for more water than actual meat.

First mistake was buying meat from Walmart….

Walmart does not label Fresh, Frozen or Dairy products. They come in pre labeled. They also do not weigh these products when they are delivered. The company charges them per shipment based on factors like quantity and quality. It's the meat packing companies ripping us all off including Walmart.

@AGPamBondi this same issue is being reported by many others. Meat sold at @Walmart mislabeled with weights above actual weight when check on scales in the store, resulting in consumers being overcharge.

Report Walmart to the state’s weights and measures agency. There can be significant consequences for deceiving the public.

Packer and distributor problem. Everything is prepackaged and prelabeled for Walmart. Shop local. Find a store that packages its own meat, grinds its own hamburger. Or better yet get to know a butcher, some even smoke their own bacon.

The manager claiming they "can't be reweighed" is admitting their inventory system is built on vibes and fraud. It is literally a grocery store—weighing things is the entire business model. If you tried to pay with "approximate" cash, they'd call the police. This isn't a mistake; it's a silent tax on people who don't do the math.

So what about 5 pound bags of potatoes that really weigh 3 pounds is that the meat company also . Walmart has a history of doing this .

There was a class action law suit about this before. I got $24 dollars from it. I guess they haven’t learned their lesson but I haven’t bought meat from them ever since.

So has anyone tagged @Walmart in these videos to see if their corporate side can answer how these false weights and measures are being used? This is a crime so old it is mentioned in the Levical (Mosaic) Laws, specifically about keeping accurate weights and measures.

You shouldn't buy meat at walmart because it is packaged offsite at the Tysons / Smithfields of the world and even most of the beef is injected with a brine solution - so you're also paying $15/lb for that 7% salt water

The correct answer for the manager would have been "thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I will take all the hams off sale right now, moving them to our back cooler, and I will call our head office to figure this out. May I comp the ham that you selected?"

No quality control and if there is it's a bunch of unqualified people who don't do their jobs correctly.

Yesterday I was scanning two cases of Orgain protein shakes I get for my mom. I scanned one, and then out of nowhere, some "chocolate fudge" product priced at $12.96 showed up out of nowhere. Had I not been paying attention, I would have been overcharged. Lady had to remove it.
