Ms. Willie has been a federal contractor for 44 years at the Library of Congress. During the shutdown she and her fellow UNITE HERE members joined me for lunch at my office. They missed paychecks during Republicans' government shutdown & had to find other ways to keep her bills paid. I'm fighting for our workers to get the back pay they deserve, and my Fair Pay for Federal Contractors Act would do just that. Congress should pass our bill immediately.

If it passes, Senators’ paychecks get locked up in a vault until the shutdown ends. No back pay for them while furloughed workers and troops suffer. Will 7 Democrats have the guts to own shutdowns alongside our troops and first responders?!
