Excellent! Thank you for posting this and challenging the controversial, anti-common sense, Chinese study of 20,000 pts claiming intermittent fasting (eating only during an 8hr window) led to a 91% increase risk of dying from heart disease!

Excellent comments. Hope that our friends in ID and public health watch this and learn from it. The covid literature is now filled with similar low-quality retrosp. studies. Like this infamous one, which also used subject recall to assess mask wearing.

You should see some of the epi data that is being published in mainstream medical journals about crop protection products. Claims that a part-per-trillion detection one a spot urine sample is associated with a increased risk of “all cause mortality” 14 years later. 🙄

which paper is she referring to that shows that intermittent fasting (and Not caloric restriction) shows improved heart outcomes?

I'm very confused, still looking for studies showing that intermittent fasting is different (or as this person claims, better) than calorie restriction for wt loss or other surrogates. @CMichaelGibson are you referring to RCTs of TRE vs Other forms of caloric restriction?

This is a bunch of BS. AHA paid off by the Rx industry. Intermittent fasting also can get you into a state of autophagy, promoting cellular health. You get really healthy fasting - no drugs. I'm proof. My blood work is unreal after fasting. Don't listen to these liars.
