Tom Hanks shares a great backstory on voicing the original Toy Story in 1995. Says it only happened because Robin Williams smashed it with Aladdin a few years prior. Hollywood realized a big star could sell an animated film (give something for parents). So, Hanks and Allen tried to do the same improv style. They made 80% of a film but just weren’t on Williams level (Hanks says Williams was the Picasso of Improv). Pixar threw it all out and then Hanks, Allen’s and everyone else worked off a script. *** Full interview here:

Tom Hanks owned the ‘90s. He won back-to-back Oscars between ‘94 & ‘95, in addition to tacking on a few more nominations during the decade as well. Hanks is back in theaters this summer with a new Toy Story, a franchise he joined during ‘90s. If you’re like me, you grew up on Tom

The Epstein documents also mentioned actor Tom Hanks who has been named by numerous people for crimes against children. Hanks also mocked the death of actor Isaac Kappy, who was known for exposing the elite child trafficking rings in Hollywood and one of the people who exposed Hanks before his own untimely death. President Trump himself has hinted to you that Tom Hanks was no good when West Point canceled the award ceremony for actor Tom Hanks. That was no accident. Even in the movie Forrest Gump, when Jenny leaves waving from the back of the bus, Hanks purposely pays homage to Satanism, by doing the hand gesture of "As above, so below," in which the Baphomet statue that represents Satanism gestures itself. There are NO coincidences. Symbolism will be their downfall, and it was. Now that the cards are faced up on the table, it's time to prosecute these child predators.

“I was once on a German talk show, and this woman said to me, 'Mr. Williams, why do you think there is not so much comedy in Germany?' And I said, 'Did you ever think you killed all the funny people?'” — ROBIN WILLIAMS Miss the guy.

Cast Away’s ending has always stayed with me. The mixed emotions Hanks feels upon returning home- he survived, but missed so much. His forehead is still sunburnt but his face is lighter from the beard. It’s a bittersweet moment that only an actor of Tom Hanks’ caliber could nail.

For me everything about the 1998 AYE AYE EYES episode is peak DEXTER. Written and boarded by Craig McCracken this is a true gem. The song is perfect - Loosely based on THAT THING YOU DO the 1996 movie with Tom Hanks. Such a great music video too…GROOVY!

This week Brian Merchant is back to talk with Paris Marx (find me on bluesky) about the real history of the Luddites and why we should be inspired by them. In this clip, Brian explains how the divide on the “machine question” is as relevant today as it was in 1811. Full ep:

Tom Hanks reveals the one moment in Cast Away he cannot watch because he wasn't there “There is a moment in Cast Away in which I am back and Chuck is back in Kelly's house, and he gives her her watch back. And there's a moment where I just think, I'm not there.” “I do this gesture that I just think is false and is me and is not Chuck. If the movie is on, I will get up and leave the room before that scene comes on.”

WAIT… TOM HANKS ACTUALLY REMEMBERED THIS GUY FROM SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. That is the moment this red-chair story suddenly becomes something completely different. Adam Shaw walks onto The Graham Norton Show with a ridiculous story about getting his first acting job on Saving Private Ryan and then Tom Hanks recognizes him. Think about that. For Adam, it was one of the biggest experiences of his life. For Hanks, there were hundreds of people involved in making that movie. He could have easily forgotten him. Instead, Hanks starts connecting the dots and suddenly Adam isn't just some random person sitting in the red chair telling an old Hollywood story. He's someone Tom actually remembers. And that's what makes this moment so good. The funniest stories aren't always the ones with the biggest celebrity names or the most dramatic ending. Sometimes it's just the shock of realizing that a person you thought would never remember you actually did. That has to feel pretty surreal.

“I think Giannis is clearly hopeful that LeBron will come and I think that was a good sign… If you’re LeBron you think it’s cool that Giannis is so wrapped up in what you might do and certainly the Heat are still absolutely on the board.” — Brian Windhorst on LeBron to Miami rumors

.Scott Jennings NUKES the Public Advocate of New York: “Do you think it was economic concerns that got Dan Goldman banned from that coffee shop in Brooklyn?” Jumaane Williams: “Dan Goldman is a, is a, is a, is a gentleman as far as I'm concerned. I also think it was horrible the anti-Haitian and anti-black rhetoric, the anti-Muslim rhetoric that occurred, with the Chevalier race.” Jennings: “So you don’t want to admit it”

There is no universe where before the snap you see that your center has to back block Quinnen Williams all the way out at a loose 3 and you still run GT Counter anyway. Call timeout. Get into a different play. Do literally anything else other than this.

Q. This album is so strong, so good, and I feel like it's, at least in part, the answer to the question that you all posed in 2022 after Butter and Permission to Dance and Dynamite, that there was a question of who BTS was and what you would do next. But I was wondering about how everyone felt about hitting that moment and the sort of debate about what to do next. 🐱 Well, even outside of this album, we're always thinking about our identity and will continue to do so. Our thoughts are always evolving as we age or change environments, and I believe channeling those ideas into our music will show our path forward.

Amandla Stenberg's response to the Acolyte being canceled. Do you agree with her? She says (paraphrasing) that the show suffered from tons of vitriol, bigotry, racism and hate from the alt-right which, essentially, is why it got canceled. Idk about all that I just though it's a poorly written show that was boring and f'd with the lore. I'll have a response video up soon, I have a couple things to chime in.

Q: Did you talk to the president about the red card suspension? If you cannot answer, why were you so scared of answering that question? Was there some sort of agreement that you not talk about it? Mamdani: No. There is no agreement about that and I haven't spoken to him about the red card. I made it clear that the conversations I have with the president has to do with what benefits the city and the struggles of New Yorkers to afford the city
