British Columbia is moving to permanent daylight saving time, ending the twice-yearly clock changes after one final “spring forward” in 2026. Let us know in the comments if you'd like to do away with our time change.

lol, so driving north will change our timezone on certain months of the year... that will be interesting to see. But yes, let's do away with the daylight savings time here too.

Certainly not to go to perma-PDT. Mornings in the winter are hard enough without late sunrises. Best option would be perma-PST, second best is changing, though I'd like to see us stay on PST longer. Worse is perma-PDT. I think BC will regret it.

A very bad idea and they will live to regret it only in the winter. In summer it's fine. In winter sunrise will not be until 9:00 or later in the morning especially in the North. That will not work. It's not that difficult to change the clocks back and forth.

Let’s go to permanent Standard Time. BC can keep their 9:00 a.m. winter sunrises.

get rid of DST. Return to solar time. BC making a smart move. It ain't a MAGA thing, it's a sleep thing.

We already voted and approved the DST time change years ago. We need to stay on DST

Move the time 1/2 hour. Split the difference between daylight time and standard time. Leave it there permanently.

I prefer fall back. I don’t want it light out at 10pm in the summertime. First shift is awful.

8:00 p.m. sunset during the height of the summer would suck just as much as 9:00 a.m. sunrise in the winter. Think it through, leave it be.

They also gave away the city of Vancouver to 1,500 FN members, but this is the big story.
