That’s not this government. Obviously. So far all I see the B.C. NDP doing is running a cancel culture style campaign because the last seven years have turned this province into an overpriced dumpster fire rife with crime, drugs, addiction, homelessness, tax burden, failed healthcare and sky high cost of living….. Just the gun confiscation conversation is enough for me. Anyone that thinks taking legally owned firearms from licensed vetted Canadians in effort to stop criminals who buy their guns in back alleys cannot and should not be trusted. With anything.

I’m PRO-British Columbia, and I believe THE PEOPLE should have the final say on major changes to how their province is governed. 86% of British Columbians agree: major changes to how our province is governed should require the consent of THE PEOPLE. That should not be controversial. The NDP had no mandate to create conditions that put the certainty of private property rights into question or fundamentally change who makes decisions over B.C.’s land and resources without asking British Columbians first. That is exactly why B.C. has the Recall and Initiative Act. It gives British Columbians the power to take an issue directly to the people when government refuses to listen. I am using that democratic power to repeal DRIPA. No mandate. No public consent. And no government should get to fundamentally rewrite how this province is governed and simply tell British Columbians to accept it. British Columbia belongs to its PEOPLE. Government answers to its PEOPLE. And the PEOPLE have every right to decide its future.

David Eby tried to dismiss Pierre Poilievre’s visit to Richmond as just a YouTube clip. That’s the kind of arrogance British Columbians have come to expect from this NDP government. Pierre was in Richmond announcing a real plan to protect private property rights and that’s something homeowners are deeply concerned about. Instead of listening, the NDP mocks British Columbians and calls their concerns “fear-mongering” simply because Conservatives are standing up with solutions. Private property rights are fundamental. They must be protected at the highest level. It’s time this provincial government started governing for all British Columbians.
