If the bill passes, but the tariff threat is resolved almost immediately, would the 2 yr dictatorship end? Also, who determines when the economic threat is reasonably over? Asking because wasn't BC the last place in the world to end all the covid restrictions...years after the pandemic ended?

Signed it, this Bill is insane, if things are this bad why isn't Carney making his moves towards opening up conversation with the US to deal with it. He's not, so why does Eby need 2 years of emergency powers.🙄 It's a total excuse to execute dictatorship.

David Eby tried to dismiss Pierre Poilievre’s visit to Richmond as just a YouTube clip. That’s the kind of arrogance British Columbians have come to expect from this NDP government. Pierre was in Richmond announcing a real plan to protect private property rights and that’s something homeowners are deeply concerned about. Instead of listening, the NDP mocks British Columbians and calls their concerns “fear-mongering” simply because Conservatives are standing up with solutions. Private property rights are fundamental. They must be protected at the highest level. It’s time this provincial government started governing for all British Columbians.

Many of my constituents were thrown under the bus by the NDP decision not to argue extinguishment. David Eby is now in damage control mode, secretly sending a high-paid political staffer to engage with my constituents behind my back. The NDP secrecy and backroom deals must stop. Homeowners deserve respect, transparency and guaranteed property rights.

I agree with Ben Mulroney. Dangerous ideologues have weakened our public institutions. David Eby claims it's Conservatives pushing a "culture war," yet here's the NDP in action: a $170K executive business planning position where the main requirement is pledging allegiance to undoing "settler colonialism," not actual business skills. The NDP is hiring ideological foot soldiers to enforce their far-left agenda on British Columbia from the top down. This dangerous ideology sets the stage to undermine democracy in the name of "decolonization." It's reminiscent of Soviet-style intolerance. Not under my watch. British Columbians have had enough. I'll take the fight to the NDP all the way to the polls. BC Conservatives will free British Columbia from this dangerous ideology and bring sanity back to government.

Right now, more than 1,000 acres in Port Coquitlam and Richmond are tied up in new Indigenous title claims, neighborhoods, parks, and even the old Riverview site. This is not speculation. This is happening, and it is only the beginning. The NDP has opened the door to province-wide uncertainty, and they’re pretending it’s all perfectly normal. This Premier lit the match and walked away. He refused to defend private property rights in court. He refused to tell homeowners what was unfolding behind closed doors. And after nine years of NDP secrecy, he has the nerve to act surprised that people are scared, confused, and losing trust. What exactly did he think would happen when he hid the truth from the public for nearly a decade? Let me be absolutely clear: reconciliation does not mean destroying certainty.
