I’m PRO-British Columbia, and I believe THE PEOPLE should have the final say on major changes to how their province is governed. 86% of British Columbians agree: major changes to how our province is governed should require the consent of THE PEOPLE. That should not be controversial. The NDP had no mandate to create conditions that put the certainty of private property rights into question or fundamentally change who makes decisions over B.C.’s land and resources without asking British Columbians first. That is exactly why B.C. has the Recall and Initiative Act. It gives British Columbians the power to take an issue directly to the people when government refuses to listen. I am using that democratic power to repeal DRIPA. No mandate. No public consent. And no government should get to fundamentally rewrite how this province is governed and simply tell British Columbians to accept it. British Columbia belongs to its PEOPLE. Government answers to its PEOPLE. And the PEOPLE have every right to decide its future.

Today, I’m launching my campaign to lead the Conservative Party of BC. I’m running because everyday, hardworking BC families don’t need more lectures from the same group of political elites. Working people need someone real who will roll up their sleeves and fight for them. Someone who will stand with everyday British Columbians, not just big business and insiders. I didn’t inherit a movement. British Columbians have lost hope for the future. People are leaving this province in droves. We’ve seen practically zero private sector job growth. You can’t survive here anymore, and we’re on a path to bankruptcy. That’s why I got involved with the Conservatives. British Columbians demanded change and we came so close last time. This latest court ruling should terrify every single property owner in British Columbia. Under David Eby’s watch, the NDP government has stood by while decades-old claims are used to overturn existing private land rights—1,800 acres gone overnight, with fee simple titles declared “defective.” And instead of defending the property rights of British Columbians, Eby’s government is already talking about “negotiating.” This ruling should be appealed immediately. If it’s allowed to stand, what’s next? Your family’s home? Your farm? Your business? No property in B.C. is safe when the Premier refuses to fight for it. We can acknowledge the importance of reconciliation without handing over people’s legally purchased land and undermining the very concept of ownership. British Columbians need certainty, not a government that sells them out.

Did you know that “Coastal First Nations” is just an advocacy group? Yup, it's just branding like Coke or Nike. It was set up with millions of dollars from foreign anti-energy & anti-resource groups. That's how you end up with professional protestors. This has to stop. When I am the Premier of B.C. I will outlaw foreign-funded groups that try to influence B.C. politics. Our politics should be for British Columbians.

What we saw in Question Period today was a masterclass in financial denial. I laid out the numbers, real, unavoidable numbers, showing that British Columbians pay $18.5 billion in income tax and $5.1 billion of it now goes straight to servicing this government’s debt. And what did the Finance Minister offer in response? A “news flash” Well, here’s my news flash: When 30 cents of every income tax dollar is being vacuumed up by interest payments, you don’t get to pretend everything is fine. She insisted this was all “reasonable,” as though families in British Columbia aren’t already drowning in record affordability pressures. She rambled on about hospitals and schools as if that somehow explains why nearly half the debt her government accumulated isn’t for infrastructure at all, but for operating deficits, overspending with nothing permanent to show for it. Then came the talking points: ICBC, rent, child care, the same stale list she recites whenever she needs to fill airtime. Not a single word about why British Columbia now leads the country in unaffordability. Not a single word about why people are leaving this province in numbers we haven’t seen in decades. Not a single word about why debt-service costs are exploding while outcomes get worse. And the punchline? She actually expects British Columbians to feel grateful, grateful that their government has maxed out the provincial credit card and now hands them a bill worth more than the “rebates” they were promised. Stop shaming our children over a story that has been proven to be a hoax. The Kamloops 215 story was always meant to get British Columbians/Canadians to drop their guards when it came to land claims, name changes, and radical "anti-colonial" politics being pushed everywhere. The reason it is important to call out the K215 hoax is because lies like it are the root to so many of the current problems we are facing in British Columbia. It's meant to make people feel ashamed and be unwilling to fight to maintain our institutions and public/private property rights.

After this exchange in the legislature the other day, I had to look out the window this morning just to check if hell had, in fact, frozen over. Like a typical Champagne Socialist, Brenda Bailey stood up and defended handing out luxury car allowances to bureaucrats, like that’s the priority right now. British Columbians are getting crushed, taxes up, food up, gas up, everything up. And her argument? That these bureaucrats might be making less than bureaucrats somewhere else. That’s the disconnect. People are trying to get ahead, and this government is focused on perks for insiders. The NDP is no longer here for the working class.
