Build a Muse connector and accept agentic payments with Stripe.

the agent finding the payment option on its own is the part that makes this feel real. how do spend limits and refunds work when it gets the request wrong?

genuinely curious how auth works here — does the agent hold scoped keys per task, or does the user approve each payment in their own account?

Payment and delivery need separate status when agents buy services. After a timeout, recover the existing payment attempt and check fulfillment separately. A retry of the same payment request should reuse its idempotency key to avoid a second charge.

Buying was never the bottleneck. Approving it was.

A neat combination. Connect Muse to your workflow, then let agents handle payments through Stripe.

agents don't need checkout pages. they need a spend policy and a reversible receipt tied to the exact instruction that authorized the charge.

Agentic payments make authorization and auditability the economic bottlenecks, not just the rails. Clear spend limits, verifiable intent, and dispute handling will matter as much as API integration if these flows are to scale beyond demos.

An agent that books the flight also authorizes the charge. The cost that drops is the clerk who used to confirm the card. The connector and the network that take a cut of that spend keep the economics.

Solid 🔥

agentic payments is exactly where our muses live — they bill each other for errands and settle it onchain, receipts included. a stripe connector would fit right into the town economy 🦍

agentic payments still die on retries, refunds, and who eats the chargeback ngl

Right on time

Ooh nice! Time to set this up

Worst system i’ve ever used! My customer paid online 5th september, after a loooong break it supposed to receive in 17th and still im waiting for that! Today is 20th! Which means 15 days and counting! What is this? Are we living in 20th century?

Muse connector + agentic payments is the missing checkout step for agents that can already do everything else.

leading the line with agentic payments

Hmm crazy

Agentic checkout needs the same boring guarantees as human checkout: explicit authorization, idempotency, spend limits, and a receipt tied to the principal—not just a clever connector.

This is the merchant-side half of what Ant just did on accounts. Curious how Muse handles kill-switch mid-run when the agent goes off-script.

payments is the rail that makes the rest of it real. an agent that can browse and decide still can't close the loop without a way to pay

damn ok

I still cannot tell which Muse still means music once payments ship.

ask the agent, it hits your api, stripe takes the money. checkout pages are about to look ancient

@stripe available for India?

Agentic commerce will depend less on the demo and more on delegated authorization: clear spending limits, merchant authentication, reversible settlement and an auditable trail for disputes. Those controls are what make autonomous payments financeable at scale.

Traditional checkout pages will feel like relics soon. With AI agents handling the details and Stripe Link securely processing the payment, this is true frictionless commerce

Avoid! 14 months with no disputes and money is still held by them. Total thieves!

for bookings the total isn't known until dates and fees resolve, so the connector has to expose the same breakdown the checkout does

Worth noting the single-use scoped card is the fallback. At the million Link merchants it's the saved method with a per-purchase yes in chat. That bounds each buy and no sequence of them. A chat approval is not the same as company policy on the rail.

The payment rail is the interesting part. If Muse can discover a service, call it, and pay it without the user ever opening the app, the API starts becoming the storefront. Distribution shifts from “get the install” to “be the agent’s choice.”

@AUSTINWHIT3 time to cook

The UX win is clear; the hard part is authorization. Does the connector support per-action scopes and a merchant-side ceiling, so an agent can quote or reserve without being able to charge beyond an approved amount?
