Gemini models are now accessible to millions of Apple developers through Apple’s Foundation Models framework and natively within Xcode. You can now easily swap between local and cloud inference using a shared API surface to build next-generation agentic app experiences, increase development velocity, and offload heavy workloads to the cloud. Additionally, you can use agentic coding assistance from Gemini in Xcode to accelerate multi-step development tasks. Check out the full announcement to get started:

Used Apple Foundation Models Framework to ease the UX in my Shared Space 3DGS viewer app You can ask it to recolor certain areas of your gaussian splats via computer vision models Or rotate, flip, and even ask to put your model in a "showcase mode" where it will slowly spin

Been experimenting with Apple's new Core AI framework over the past few days Built a mobile app that runs local AI models directly on device, exploring Core AI model deployment (.aimodel), model specialization, caching, and inference across Apple Silicon Also spent some time integrating with Apple's Foundation Models framework and understanding how custom models can coexist with Apple's on-device AI stack Still early, but the combination of Core AI, Foundation Models, and the Apple Neural Engine feels like a pretty compelling foundation for local first AI applications Still in alpha and working towards a more stable version, but it's been a fun way to explore where Apple's on device AI ecosystem is headed !!

I think foundation models like chatGPT, grok, gemini will become the single user interface in the future.. we won’t have tens of AI apps.. what do you think ?

This is my vision for the future of Gemini and AI Assistants. Computer Use + Browser Use + Command Line Agent + On Screen Annotation. I finally got around to building a quick experimental product and demo, using the Gemini models If you also love this space, let's chat!

Perplexity Computer will soon be able to dynamically split compute power between local models and cloud models! If that would drive Perplexity Computer costs down, it would be huge, since it is one of the top blockers for many at this moment. Soon 👀
