Built a mac app this week using the new Conductor API that just came out. If you use Conductor you may like it. It's called Whistle, and it's for those quick ideas you have on a project. It's a tray app, you click it, you start talking or typing... show more

Mostly made this for myself because I'm often running out of a meeting, or in mid email or something, and have an idea. Opening big boy Conductor can feel distracting ("ooh it got back to me on the thing") so I just wanted a way to stay in flow, throw an idea out there and have it research. It's using apple native voice reco for now, nothing on my servers, and just pushes to conductor api with a template of instructions on what to do that you can edit.

@conductor_build Nice example of an API creating a product surface beyond the original app. The hard part for background agents is safe resumption: persisted state, explicit approval points, and idempotent tool calls so interrupted runs don’t repeat side effects.

@conductor_build How to use api?

@conductor_build "stay in flow" is the whole thing, and tray apps fight you on it. clicking the menu bar means aiming at a 20px target at the top of the screen, which is exactly the moment the idea escapes. does whistle take a hotkey? that was the one change that made mine actually get used.

@conductor_build yup. there's a hotkey too. my flow involves noise usage. but i get that for many keyboard is the way.

@conductor_build the honest split is discovery vs repetition. mouse wins while you're still exploring and don't know what you want yet. keyboard only wins on the tenth time you do the same thing. most tools pick one and quietly lose the other half of the job.

I vibe coded an application with Gemini 3 that let's you pick up a pencil and actually start drawing on a piece of paper. The assets are 3D which adds another layer of immersion just purely for fun. Try it here You can't start drawing until you literally click on the pencil to pick it up. You can also switch to a marker or use the eraser on the pencil. If you don't like the drawing you can crumple the paper and throw it in the trash. It will then place a new piece of paper on the table and you have to pick up the pencil again to start drawing again. I added a learn section on the app that links to youtube channels where you can also learn how to draw. It's quite fun to use, it's basically like using a super simplified version of photoshop or paint. It works with a wacom tablet, just can't seem to figure out how to get pressure sensitivity enabled.

You just finished a shift and you are getting ready to go home, you notice that your tire is flat, and now you have to start the ordeal of having it towed, and then getting it fixed, but you really don’t have time and don’t want to take off work for it. Luckily now there are services like this. You call him and let him know what brand and size tire you have, he comes to you, takes the wheel off and mounts and balances the new tire for you on site in less than an hour with installation. Would you be open to the idea of a mobile tire replacement service if you needed it?

President Trump just VERY clearly laid out hoe Democrats' weak-on-crime policies make EVERY New Yorker suffer "You go into a drugstore, you buy something, you buy a toothbrush, you buy some toothpaste. Now you have to open up glass." "Every shelf has glass on it, and it's got a lock and a key." "And that's because NOTHING happens to these criminals. Nothing happens to them." "It's not like that in other places. It's like that in other blue states, but it's not like that in Republican states, I can tell you that."

sooo i built an app that lets you control your mac with just your voice, in plain english. and it's stupid fast! no commands to memorize, it just gets you. "message mike on slack that i’m running late" → done instantly it’s obvious we’ll be talking to machines more and more. computers, tablets, phones, wearables, and eventually cars, robots and more. if you like using dictation apps, you should try this. you’ll realize using voice just for dictation is kinda dumb lol i’m onboarding beta users. if you want to give it a try, dm me! it's completely free! voice is the future! give your hands the day off 👏👏👏

I LOVE SOULSEEK. So I built a modern client and if you love soulseek and want to use it I'd love to share it with you. You can watch this video to get a quick feel but it's designed to be lightweight/simple and easy to browse users collections. That way you can find good new music and then buy that music and more on Bandcamp. If you'd like to use it just reply here and I'll dm you a link.

Rick Rubin’s fishing metaphor: This is the sign of a true professional. He doesn't sit around waiting for inspiration to come— he goes to the studio rigidly, every day, ready to work, knowing that it will be there for him when he calls on it. “It's like fishing. You can go out and spend the whole day fishing and not catch any fish. You can work for a day or for a week and nothing good can happen. That happens. It's out of our control.” You have to trust the process. You have to keep showing up.

"I prefer to be either in a really hot sector or just in the growth names..." – Kristjan Kullamägi 🇺🇦 KQ puts a lot more emphasis on fundamentals, or the theme/story than many may think. Check out this clip where he talks more about it. "Even if you get a good setup on a random stock, it's probably not worth it. Especially if you can choose from like these growth stocks...like if you have plenty of growth stocks and then you have some random stocks, focus on the growth stocks, because earnings are fuel." – Kristjan Kullamägi 🇺🇦 "You need a reason for something to go up, stocks don't go up just because there's a certain pattern to it, ok? You find the stocks that have a reason to go up and then you look for patterns on those stocks, because patterns are just something that can increase your odds of success and maximize your risk/reward." – Kristjan Kullamägi 🇺🇦

Snoop Dogg says he charges $250,000 for a verse and another $250,000 for the music video “About $250,000. You get 16 bars. And when it's time to do the video, I need to get another $250,000 and you only got an hour to film it” “Some people get it lower, some people get it on the house. Because if you family, how I look like sticking you up for $250,000, and you a new artist and you just coming out” “It’s either personal or it’s business. If it's family, then it's personal. Then that means I can give you a, ‘How much you got. Don't even worry about it. We're gonna work that out’” “But if it's business, I ain't talking to you. I'm talking to your business. Who's the one putting up all that real money. I ain't talking to you, so it ain't gonna be no disrespect. Get me to the boss so we can have a boss to boss talk. You dealing with a fucking boss. Give me what I want, and let's keep it pushing. Me and you maintain our relationship because it had nothing to do with you. So it keeps our relationship clean and cut” “Now, if you don't have a boss and you're financially doing it yourself, now it's for me and you. How much you got on me. ‘I only got’... matter of fact, I ain't got nothing, dog. Don't even worry about it. When you blow up, just get back at me”

Geno Auriemma shares how he explains success to his players and why showing up isn't enough. "If you go to class and you do average work, you're gonna get a C. That's why it's called average." "If you want a B, you have to do more work. If you want an A, you have to do even more work and you have to give up stuff." You get what you earn in life. "You have to sacrifice. Maybe you can't do all the things that everybody else does." It means if you want more then you have to be willing to do more. "If you're just happy getting Bs all your life, there's nothing wrong with that either. But you're never gonna get the satisfaction of what it feels like to get an A." Then he connected it to basketball: "If you just wanna be average, then you do average work. If you wanna be a little bit above average then you do a little more work." "If you wanna get As in basketball, then you gotta do stuff that other people aren't willing to do - especially if you have the talent like we do. We have talent." It means bring a mindset of excellence to everything that you do. Excellence isn't the goal - it's the standard you set. Then he called out the entitlement problem: "Some of these younger guys coming out of high school, man, they wanna show up and go, 'I'm here. Where's my 3.7?'" "Like my father used to say, 'I got your 3.7 right here.'" Showing up doesn't earn you anything. Doing the work does. You get the grade you earn - in school, in basketball, and in life. It's easy to be average...successful people look to compete in everything they do. (🎥UCTV Sports )

Matt Damon said some canceled people would have preferred an 18-month prison sentence because it has a clear end date. Joe Rogan: What we're talking about earlier about people that have been canceled, you know? That, that, this idea that one thing you said or one thing you did, and now we're going to exaggerate that to the fullest extent and cast you out of civilization. Matt Damon: In perpetuity, yeah. Joe Rogan: It's fucking crazy and it's... Matt Damon: Yeah, I would say because, because I bet some of those people would have preferred to go to jail for 18 months or whatever to, and, and then come out and say, "No, but I, that, that we can't... I, I paid my debt, like we're done." Yeah, like can we be done? Like, the, the thing about, about that, you know, getting kind of excoriated publicly like that, it's, it just never ends. And it's, and it's the first thing that, you know, it's just, it just will follow you to the grave, I think.

It's time to stop playing small and start taking ownership of your life. You may have been a victim in the past, but it's time to let go of that victim mentality and start living like a champion. It's time to start making the people who matter most to you a priority.

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on the possibility of players leaving who have been here a long time: "It's a really, really tough moment, you need to face that reality. But you need to face it with real honesty and transparency because when you are on the other side, that's exactly what you need. "You might not like what you've been told, but if it's truthful, if it's the reality, if it's honest and it's going to help you to make better decisions and have more clarity for the next steps in your career, you have to do that. "These are always very difficult conversations, but they need to be done. It's like when a player doesn't feel that he belongs or he's important, he wants to have a different chapter, I think that communication has to exist and it has to be both ways. "We all know, everything has a start and has an end. When it comes to the end, I think our duty, our responsibility is to do it in the best possible way, maintaining the respect and admiration for the player and the relationship, but understanding that at the end, we need to make football decisions."

Being a stay-at-home mom is a job. That's it. It's not that hard. I've done it. I've had jobs outside the house. I've stayed at home with my kids. You know once they start school you get a job go to work. It's not that big a deal. The kids are only at home until they're 5 and then they go to school. And then you have all day to yourself until you go pick them up. I don't know why you keep saying it's hard, it's not. You want to know what's hard is when your kids leave home and they've got kids and then you're planning on retiring soon and you find out your husband has brain cancer. You want to know what's hard? It's going to those doctor's appointments, or staying at the hospital for weeks at a time, going to radiation treatment, going to the pharmacy. You're entire life is eat up by doctor's appointments and MRI's and pharmacies and phone calls and hospital visits. That's hard! Life is hard. It's not supposed to be easy. If it's always easy for you you're doing something wrong. But it's equally as hard for everybody else, you're not special!!!
