Bureaucracy failed Oklahoma. When our firefighters are risking their lives and resources aren’t deployed to back them up, that’s unacceptable. If this agency can’t answer why, I’ll hold them accountable. Let’s give that funding to rural and local firefighters instead.

The Forestry Department dropped the ball. Our firefighters showed up and they deserve the resources, not the ones who sat on their hands.

The Luther firefighters/volunteer firefighters did not have ample gear to fight the thousands of acres burning. It’s not acceptable that they rely on fundraisers for supplementation in order to have proper equipment. My son coughed up black stuff for days and had vision problems (is still having them) from fighting without the right tools.

You failed OK by sitting on funds and bragging about a surplus instead of properly funding infrastructure. You are the bureaucrat

Until the OK state constitution is changed, allowing our core services to exist outside of the tax base, it will never get better. Oklahoma is the ONLY state in the union that does this. FIX THE STATE CONSTITUTION!

Provide the proof resources were withheld and then we’ll talk. Where is the proof? Until then, stop attacking our forestry service.
