That's silly. There are many cheap and highly effective jigs on the market for putting on hinges.
The manufacturer has a chart that tells you where to put that hinge cup hole, based on the overlay you're targeting. If using the hinge gives you the correct location, it's by accident, not design. Too much overlay, and you can't open the door. It hits the door next to it.
Are you sitting there on purpose and making videos with cheap tools? I think those who use such tools and make quality work are different people
