Everyone talks about how Web3 will change the world. But the truth is: if you can’t make it work with the systems that already run the world TODAY, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes it feels like we "own" the Multiversᕽ blockchain. Not because we control it, but because every time we start researching a new module or flow, a new chain upgrade lands at the right moment, unlocking the exact functionality we need to build that idea. At Vero, we believe blockchain should stay invisible to the user. The real magic happens when it works silently in the background, even with old Web2 hardware, the kind that’s still required by law. In Romania, for example, every onsite sale needs a fiscal receipt. No exceptions. At the start of the year, we built a way for each point of sale to issue blockchain-connected fiscal receipts. But that meant one printer per station: expensive, inefficient, hard to scale. Now, after months of working, we’ve fixed that. Multiple POS stations, all connected to Web3, can now print on a single fiscal printer. Each receipt includes a unique station ID, a transaction hash, and is fully compliant with tax regulations. And we didn't stop there. We also built a full merchant module that handles both card and cash payments. VeroPay is now running as a SaaS infrastructure for any merchant, in any industry. With the latest MultiversX chain upgrades, this module is 100% live on mainnet. This is what we focus on at VeroPay: Not building DeFi tools that maybe 1% of Web3 users will ever try, but making sure blockchain works today, with the infrastructure that 99% of businesses already use. “Web3 Jobs Changed My Life.” I came across this old video on Saturday, I made this video on Oct 7th, 2020. It was during the heat of the COVID period. I made this YouTube video to fundraise – beg even – for anyone to contribute money for me to get a PC. I was just starting university in the Department of Computer Science, but I didn't have a PC. I was using a Tecno Y6 that was passed down from my older sister to my older brother to me (a generational phone😅). How was I supposed to survive the department? My dad was currently struggling with cancer; I couldn't ask for money. The only option I thought I had was making that video (which is now embarrassing😅). ----- Plot twist: - No one saw the video (it only had 2 views when I saw it on Saturday). - No one cared! I decided to take action and control over my life. During that same period of October: • I got my first Web3 gig as a community engager, getting paid 6000 Naira per month. • In December 2020, I got a major payout of $500 from a VC to engage in all the projects they invest in. → And right there, on that day, “Web3 jobs changed my life”. ~ I took out 160,000 Naira and bought a laptop. I debated posting this because maybe I’m too bias but seriously I don’t think she reads her books until book club nights. - Ok I’ve watched a few episodes of the book club. Last book club I had the feeling she hadn’t actually read the book we were reviewing. And seemed like she was making up things to say about what she was reading for the first time. I thought well maybe she just forgot these parts. I’ll let it go. Then last night she did a whole segment on a guy and his beliefs but then asks her staff to pull up his Wikipedia page and states she never had seen his picture before and seemed to be reading directly from her book to learn about him. She hadn’t seen his picture? How did you not see his picture when even when your producer searched him a lot of pictures came up. You did an entire segment in your book about him. Who did your research? Because it wasn’t you. Maybe I’m bias but did she even write this book? Candace you seem surprised about things in it. Ok I’m off my rant but it seems odd to me. More to come still listening.
