Can someone explain to me why we aren’t like this on offense anymore??

The uncomfortable conversation is because we don’t have a QB who can execute the offense

Bc Arch ain’t that sophisticated as u think he’s a good player but his iq ain’t like Quinn Ewers was if u get what im saying. Bc yall have the play makers

I’m a little worried that Sark is trying to simplify the offense in order to try and get better “execution“ but I think that takes away what he does best. I’m probably completely wrong as an armchair coach but I’m just as frustrated as everyone else is about the inability to create mismatch.

This is the real take UT offense is unimaginative and terribly unproductive relative to the talent level on that side of the ball Complete coaching malpractice this season

That cute shit is the last thing we need, my lord.

You ended up losing that game .. remember??

No we didn’t

Oh.. some how only that game comes to my mind whenever I see FLA-Tex :)

If you are relying on trick plays for offense you don’t actually have an offense.

Bishop, WTF, No Jet Sweeps, Arch has been told DONT RUN, let the guy play ball, Micro Managed and playing NOT to make a mistake

I just want to know where the quick slants that Ewers benefitted from went. Those quick hits would absolutely kill and our OC/HC only calls long developing routes for the WRs. Even a wheel route with the RB would work. Arch isn't perfect, but this offense is not helping him.

You need someone to explain to you why your offense isn’t running a triple fake handoff? Umm… it’s called a trick play. And to answer your question, it’s probably because your qb sucks.

Because the offense isn't designed around Arch. They have Arch playing in the pocket way to long. Arch plays much better moving in the pocket not just standing in it.

Because you can't run block. Been the case for at least 2 years. And let me tell you as an OU fan, I'm an expert on being able to say, "can't run block" 😂😂

Arch can’t execute that and the WRs can’t block

#16 is playing in a system that ain’t meshing with him and he’s holding the team back.

We will probably try it against the same team this week we already tried it on 😂

Dude wants us to run a gimmicky offense lol.

Because Sark wont let Arch run!

Because it's not "pro-style" enough

@clarencehilljr Maybe Sark should've called that on 4th and 2 instead of telling the world and his players he had nothing he could call that he thought his guys could run and gain 2 yards.

You're using a game against a really shitty 4-4 Florida team as an example of how good you were? Seriously?

Your offense is struggling because your QB is mid. It’s really no more complicated than that.

Your QB couldn't handle that many moving parts.

Since you only know stats, and not actual ball:

I'm glad that play worked that time. With all that going around I bet you have to practice it like a bazillion times. All of the this and that occupying headspace before the snap of a play like that prolly leads to dead ball penalties. Larded up plays like this ARE the problem!

Yessssss!!!! What happened to all the “speed” sark loved to use plus the misdirection? Now it’s let’s air it out all game

Sark complicating things because he likes our teams in dogfights for tv ratings.

You don’t have Quinn Ewers anymore.

Not in this play. But always thought Whittington did a lot of work that expanded the playbook. Haven’t had a guy like him yet.

I love Arch and he can make some incredible plays and then plays that make you seriously question his ability. But do you think he'd be able to process this play that fast if he still takes a long time to process the field or doesn't even look at the overloaded side.

This is part of the problem of late - but some worse defenses are on the upcoming schedule.

Especially with archs running ability 🤦🏼♂️it’s like sark forgot how to call plays

Sark would probably claim he doesn’t trust Oline to hold up…. But in reality his so in love with the deep ball he can’t help himself. He did the same thing with QE at first, arch can actually throw it. You can’t live and die off the deep ball.

Creativity all but gone. Zero pre-snap motion the last two seasons.

The real answer, which I think is uncomfortable to hear, is that Arch’s game IQ is not as high as Quinn’s. Arch has all the talent in the world, but he cannot read a defense, or a playbook, the way QB3 could. This is why the offense is so vanilla.
