The issue here is the altitude and weight at the time of landing. It appears he’s at the maximum for both given the way the nose drops

Dangerous High altitude ops. Power already Maxed out as helicopter lose translational lift and will spin & crash if it continues approach. Remedy : increase airspeed by lowering attitude and reduce power as necessary. Pilot prevented a crash!!! 👍🏻

Landing? Touch & go more like. Maybe didn’t take the altitude into account with approach speed? No doubt the mechanics will be having a quiet word with pilot round the back of the hanger…

3 Should not leave bits of the nose gear on your go around. However, seems to be a high altitude landing attempt which is more difficult than a sea level landing.

The pilot saved everyone by not continuing the landing after failing to sufficiently slow the a/c and tearing off the nose wheel on a rock. A true hero.
