📢 Intrinsic Image Fusion for Multi-View 3D Material Reconstruction 📢 We combine generative material priors with inverse path tracing: 1) define a parametric texture space 2) fuse monocular predictions across views into consistent textures 3) optimize low-dimensional parameters for physically-grounded reconstructions. The results are relightable PBR textures for 3D scenes: check out the result on a real-world 3D scan from the ScanNet++ dataset! 🌍 🎥 Great work by Peter Kocsis Lukas Höllein!

Automated PBR Textures. Flat color vs PBR. Normal 3D scans only capture raw color. They bake in shadows and have zero material data. Drop them into a modern lighting engine, and they look lifeless because they don’t know what’s shiny or matte. So we built an automated PBR export. Delit Base Color, Roughness, and Metalness—all output alongside your geometry. Is it 100% flawless every time? No. But it gives you a massive, creative head start. With some tweaking and layering, get the exact look you want in minutes instead of hand painting for hours.

#ByteDance dropped #Seed3D 2.0 and claims an 80% win rate against all major 3D AI tools. After dominating in the AI-video with #Seedance2, they are now entering the 3D generation. And the focus is no longer just textures — it’s about real usability of assets right after generation. I tested: 🔹Geometry (thin & complex structures) 🔹Part-level disassembly for simulations 🔹Unified PBR materials 🔹Compatibility to real game engines Watch the full breakdown — and let’s discuss: can this model actually change the industry?

HOLY SHIT! Sparc 3D is INSANE! All they need to do now is enable PBR texture support, object separation and decimation and this in my opinion completely replaces photogrammetry. The quality of the reconstruction of these 3D objects from a single image is mind blowing to me. Yes, the model is insanely dense to allow all of this detail but the fact that AI can generate with this level of fidelity is CRAZY!!! You can try it for free on Huggingface

Microsoft open-sourced a 4B model that turns any image into a production-ready 3D asset in 3 seconds. It’s called TRELLIS.2, a fully textured, physically accurate 3D models with PBR textures out of the box. → Full PBR (base color, roughness, metallic, opacity) → Handles hair, cloth, glass, non-manifold geometry → Exports .glb ready for Unity/Unreal/Blender → Runs locally, ships in 3 seconds It's not a demo or a research preview. The full training codebase is public. You can fine-tune it on your own asset library and get a model that generates in your studio's exact style. 100% Open Source

Atlas is our production-ready application layer for creators, studios, and enterprises. It is also one of the strongest proof of enterprise adoption for 404, because it helps studios take 3D assets from generation into real production workflows. Atlas provides the depth production teams need, from watertight meshes with retopology to UVs, PBR textures, and rigs, while keeping creators in control at every step.
