Many people lost their homes, their farms, their businesses—everything they’ve worked for their entire lives. But what stood out most? Reaching the unreachable. These places aren’t just random spots on a map for me—this is where my mother’s side of the family is from. Yesterday I travelled through Ginger Hill, Merry Hill, Mahogany Hill, Claremont, Maybole, New Holland, and more. I truly wish I could have reached and provided aid for EVERYONE. 🥹 I stopped at homes that were severely damaged, calling people out to make sure they received supplies. I climbed hills, went down narrow lanes—whatever it took to reach as many people as possible. I focused on these areas because they’re not the “popular” or easily accessible places. They’re very remote, very rural communities—yet they’re home to thousands of people. ✔️ Over 600 care packages ✔️ Over 100 cases of water ✔️ Tarpaulins ✔️ Baby products ✔️ Toiletries ✔️ Clothing ✔️ Shoes To be honest, nothing looks the same. Places I’ve visited countless times were almost unrecognizable. It was a humbling day. These communities will need support for a LONG time. Many people lost their homes, their farms, their businesses—everything they’ve worked for their entire lives. But what stood out most?
