BREAKING: Today's Starlink V3 batch will add 26 terabits of capacity to the Starlink network. That is about 10 times the capacity of a single Falcon 9 launch of V2 mini satellites. The Starlink team has made contact with all 26 satellites. To destroy such an object, you need to use numerous conventional FPV drones, or even send an attack aircraft to drop a TM-62 mine. But now the chances of destroying a stronghold with a single drone hit have increased significantly thanks to the gradual emergence of heavy drones capable of carrying a much larger payload. One such drone is the Upyr-18. Some Upyr-18s have been modified to drop ammunition. This makes them reusable, but it also significantly reduces the power of the munition carried—it still needs to fly back. A ton of Upyr-18-type drones are incomparably more relevant today than a single BMD-4M or similar aircraft. So the question is about rational redistribution of resources.

Cybercabs accumulating on the top of the Giga Texas parking garage today … most of these along with many Cybertruck & Model Y’s were placed here last week just before the end of the 3rd quarter. Today, all but the Cybercabs are long gone. I’m not sure what the reason is for these to be stored up on the roof, but there are a some groups of Cybercabs at the outbound lot today getting ready to be transported off site, including about a dozen with the “Cybercab” logos on them.

Today marks an important decision in Europe — in Denmark — our first agreement on weapons production for Ukraine in Europe. Coproduction between Ukraine and Denmark. This is paramount both in terms of security and investment.

Rocket Lab Neutron AIC update — the Hungry Hippo lift. Photos and full timelapse video. Here is how the operation went down. The Hungry Hippo was sitting on its red support stands inside Building 01. The team slid the blue transport trailer underneath it, lifted it off the stands, backed it out to the lift position, set it back down on the same stands outside, then pulled the trailer out to make room for the cranes. Then nearly six hours of rigging, harnesses attached to the open base, boom lifts positioned on both sides, every connection point checked. All that for a lift that took about 30 minutes, running right through sunset. To my knowledge building 01 does not have crane infrastructure for a vertical lift of this scale, so this appears to be the first time the Hungry Hippo has been stood up vertically at Wallops. Last time it was vertical was in New Zealand. Hopefully the next lift puts it on the interstage. Congratulations to Rocket Lab and the lift crew. Full timelapse (30x) below. Each Starlink V3 satellite offers 1 Tbps of downlink capacity, so a single Starship launch can add up to 60 Tbps of total downlink capacity to the network which is more than 20x what a Falcon 9 delivers today with V2 satellites. Insane scale. V3 will also enable 5G high-bandwidth direct-to-cell connectivity anywhere in the world. After deployment, SpaceX successfully made contact with all 20 Satellites! Successful day.
