Dalton Eatherly, known as “Chud the Builder,” a racist livestreamer who gained notoriety for posting “rage-bait” videos and harassing Black people with racial slurs, has been charged with attempted murder for shooting an unidentified Black man in front of a Tennessee courthouse. Brown has been removed as chair of his department, is currently on leave, and is now under an internal university review. The update came during testimony today from interim president Robert M. Groves before a House of Representatives hearing on so-called “antisemitism” in higher education. Groves said the university contacted Brown within minutes of his tweet, which was later deleted. The tweet was widely misrepresented as advocating an Iranian attack on U.S. forces. Dr Mavedzenge recently debated the legality of Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Amendment No. 3 being passed without a referendum with Professor Jonathan Moyo, where he came out on top of the argument and helped many people understand how constitutional amendments work. He is a Professor of Law at the University of Cape Town. It is encouraging and inspiring to see compatriots being recognised for their intellectual abilities, and as Zimbabweans, we should celebrate such achievements.
