Big news! After CBSE, now ICSE also makes sugarboard compulsory in every school! ICSE sent a circular to each school to create a sugarboard displaying the negative impacts of sugar for children. Crores of Indian students are creating sugarboards in their schools. This is just the starting point. Soon we will create protein boards, sleep boards, vitamin boards and mental health awareness boards as well. Maggi Ketchup reduced its sugar by 22% and is available in grocery stores! 10 months ago, I had pointed out that Maggi’s “rich tomato Ketchup” had more sugar than tomatoes and then they improved their recipe. Their new ketchup has more tomatoes than sugar. 2 companies have reduced their sugar recently (Bournvita and Maggi ketchup). It’s a matter of time that every major company which has excess sugar will have to do the same! Let’s all continue to transform India and make it healthier one step at a time!

#WATCH | Delhi: On the rise in sugar prices, Niraj Shirgaokar, President of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA), says, "The government has already taken some very good steps in the last 4 to 6 weeks. They have done physical verification of stocks in the sugar mills. They have also put limits on the trading community. They have put limits on institutional buyers and bulk consumers. We are also seeing certain other tightening steps happening. The import of sugar is another important step that has been announced. There is no shortage of sugar. Sugar is available, like we showed in our numbers, and we have to make sure that these steps will definitely help in a very smooth transition into the festival season and into a new sugar crushing season... He also says, "We have asked the government to reduce the holding limit from 400 tons to 200 tons for the traders so that more sugar is released into the market and then the consumer sees the actual correction in the prices during the festivals here..." On the import of sugar, he says, "The import of sugar is a measure of protection. We don't have like 70-80 lakh tons of stock. We have 35 lakh tons of closing stock, which is a comfortable number going into November. The government does feel that this particular figure of 8 or 10 lakh tons will make it absolutely comfortable for the consumer..."

We all know excess sugar is harmful, but there is one ingredient which Indians consume daily which is even worse than sugar! . . . Maltodextrin. The glycemic Index (GI) for table sugar is 65 whereas maltodextrin is 110. The glycemic index (GI) measures how fast a particular food/drink spikes your blood sugar. So the higher the glycemic index, the bigger the blood sugar spike. The more shocking part is that maltodextrin isn’t technically counted as “added sugar” according to FSSAI. Many Indian packaged foods take advantage of this and claim to be “no added sugar” but they have maltodextrin in it. In fact, even baby products like Nestle Cerelac have maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is present in many ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and a diet high in ultra-processed foods is linked to weight-gain, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. This amazing dog’s name is Kona. He is a service dog for this little girl that has type one diabetes. He alerted one night and so they tested their daughter’s sugar, and it came back normal, however, Kona was insisting that something was wrong. 30 minutes later the little girl’s sugar alarm goes off so Kona and the mom run upstairs with apple juice, and to test her again.. sure enough her sugar level had dropped. I always knew service animals are amazing, but I had no idea just how amazing.

McKinney ISD, Texas - In 2023, Parents in McKinney wanted answers from school district officials about a “runaway” bus driver incident that prompted a lawsuit against McKinney Independent School District. The driver went 20 miles off course and had several felonies and 5 aliases. Parents still don’t have answers. However, the school board has decided to make a mockery of this incident. This is unacceptable treatment of a parent and grandfather. Kyle Sims (Testimony in first video) is a fighter for children and has spent his time exposing the sexualization of children in McKinney ISD schools. The McKinney ISD School Board, specifically VP Amy Dankel and board member Stephanie O’dell can be heard laughing and joking in an obvious reference to Kyle’s moving testimony. When will board member wake up and realize they work for US? Please share and let McKinney know that We the Parents are tired of this behavior.

What we have seen, generally is that the amount of the budgets for school districts are going up EXPONENTIALLY, similar to what we're seeing in general government. And the scary part about that is what we are seeing is that the number of administrators that we are seeing is really skyrocketing, and the pay for the administrators are skyrocketing. When the teacher pay is actually flatlining, not going up anywhere it needs to be, but seems to be finding student populations. So our job is to put that all into context of how a school board budgets are growing relative to the population that they serve, which is the students. I personally believe, and again, this is a general statement, but I believe this stands true against all the school districts. I believe that there is enough room in these school board budgets to cut their budget by cutting a lot of the fat and still give teachers pretty decent raises. And anyone who hasn't, who thinks that we can't, hasn't even tried to put pen to paper. It CAN be done, it's just a WILL, a political will, and a policy will to get it done.”

One year ago: Dabur sent me a legal notice for my video against Real Juice. Today: Dabur reduces sugar in real juice Just the way we criticize companies when they do something wrong, we should appreciate companies when they take a right step. I appreciate Dabur for reducing sugar in its juice! I hope Dabur continues it's good work and decides to reduce sugar in their Chyawanprash as well! All other companies should know that I won't stop and I'm going to keep fighting. All companies have only two options: Option 1- Send me a legal notice and then reduce sugar Option 2- Reduce sugar directly without sending a legal notice I strongly recommend following the 2nd option because if you send me a legal notice, I'm going to get you publicly noticed!
