That’s not empowerment, that’s limitation. The idea that someone can only succeed if a district is drawn for them, or if a box is checked for them, is an insult to the very people it claims to help. Here’s a better idea, be a great candidate. Work hard. Earn trust. Serve people. Put your name on the ballot and let voters decide.
