Rekhaji - out of these actions which one would reduce AQI by at least 10%? If none qualify then you are not addressing the real sources. For example, a lockdown would probably have a more than 10% outcome. So would shutting down the power plants. Please make a list of actions that has largest measurable impact and start there.

Mam it feels good to see everyone in the govt coming into action quickly. K Just simple requests which will only help the cause: 1. Get dust collected and disposed from roadsides and unpaved footpaths. 2. Pave any open area with Concrete/Tiles/Grass/Stones This will reduce 40-50% of air pollution in Delhi and Our Delhi will look beautiful, walkable, less cars on roads. Dear CM Mam Please execute these urgently, reduction in AQI is quite achievable 1. Fix the real vehicle problem- PUC challans alone are useless. Use remote sensors and cameras to catch gross polluters. Stop old diesel trucks at city borders permanently, not seasonally. Expand electric buses fast, frequency matters more than routes. 2. Make public transport unavoidable- More buses, shorter wait time, clean last-mile connectivity. If buses are frequent and reliable, people will leave cars. Parking should be costly, buses should be cheaper and faster. 3. Kill construction dust at source- Construction dust is a major contributor. Mandatory dust nets, covered trucks, wet cutting, wheel washing. Heavy fines and site shutdown for violations, no warnings. Mechanised road sweeping daily on all major roads. 4. End open burning inside Delhi- Zero tolerance for garbage, leaf and biomass burning. Provide fast waste pickup so citizens don’t burn. Real enforcement, not seasonal drives. 5. Crush industrial pollution- Audit all industrial areas yearly. Shut down units using dirty fuels. Force shift to gas or clean energy with deadlines, not extensions. Big polluters should pay big penalties, not citizens. 6. Regional action on stubble burning- Delhi cannot breathe alone. Coordinate tightly with Haryana and Punjab. Support farmers with machines, but strictly penalise burning. Pollution does not respect state borders. 7. Data driven shutdowns- When AQI crosses danger levels, stop high-pollution activities automatically. Construction, diesel gensets, and truck entry should pause by rule, not politics. 8. Transparency and accountability- Daily source-wise pollution data for public. Name departments and zones failing targets. Pollution control without accountability is theatre.
