Tracking Everything Everywhere All at Once paper page: present a new test-time optimization method for estimating dense and long-range motion from a video sequence. Prior optical flow or particle video tracking algorithms typically operate within limited temporal windows, struggling to track through occlusions and maintain global consistency of estimated motion trajectories. We propose a complete and globally consistent motion representation, dubbed OmniMotion, that allows for accurate, full-length motion estimation of every pixel in a video. OmniMotion represents a video using a quasi-3D canonical volume and performs pixel-wise tracking via bijections between local and canonical space. We are excited to share our #CORL2024 paper on learning quadrotor obstacle avoidance from the visual stream of a single #eventcamera! Trained entirely in simulation! We demonstrate obstacle avoidance both in the dark and in a forest up to 5m/s. PDF: Video: Project page: Event cameras are sensors that output per-pixel-level intensity changes at microsecond latency resolution; they feature nearly zero motion blur and high dynamic range but produce a very large volume of events under significant ego-motion and further lack a high-fidelity continuous-time sensor model in simulation, making direct #sim2real transfer not possible. By leveraging depth prediction as a pretext task, we pre-train a reactive obstacle avoidance policy with “approximated” simulated events and then fine-tune the perception component with limited events-and-depth real-world data. This technique bridges the sim2real gap for #eventcameras! As at the current state, there is no continuous-time sensor model for event cameras, we hope that this work can finally spur future research leveraging simulation for training event-vision-based policies to create faster, agile robots! 🚀 New Paper: Pixel Reasoner 🧠🖼️ How can Vision-Language Models (VLMs) perform chain-of-thought reasoning within the image itself? We introduce Pixel Reasoner, the first open-source framework that enables VLMs to “think in pixel space” through curiosity-driven reinforcement learning. Current VLMs reason only in text — even when grounded in rich images or videos, their logical steps are verbalized in natural language. This restricts their ability to interrogate visual evidence and demonstrate how conclusions are drawn. 🔍 So we ask: What if we could make VLMs "show their work" by reasoning directly in the pixel space? Inspired by GPT-o3’s "think-in-image" ability, we propose a framework where VLMs use interactive visual operations — zoom, select-frame, highlight — to reason through complex visual inputs. Fast View Synthesis of Casual Videos paper page: Novel view synthesis from an in-the-wild video is difficult due to challenges like scene dynamics and lack of parallax. While existing methods have shown promising results with implicit neural radiance fields, they are slow to train and render. This paper revisits explicit video representations to synthesize high-quality novel views from a monocular video efficiently. We treat static and dynamic video content separately. Specifically, we build a global static scene model using an extended plane-based scene representation to synthesize temporally coherent novel video. Our plane-based scene representation is augmented with spherical harmonics and displacement maps to capture view-dependent effects and model non-planar complex surface geometry. We opt to represent the dynamic content as per-frame point clouds for efficiency. While such representations are inconsistency-prone, minor temporal inconsistencies are perceptually masked due to motion. We develop a method to quickly estimate such a hybrid video representation and render novel views in real time. Our experiments show that our method can render high-quality novel views from an in-the-wild video with comparable quality to state-of-the-art methods while being 100x faster in training and enabling real-time rendering.

PointOdyssey: A Large-Scale Synthetic Dataset for Long-Term Point Tracking paper page: introduce PointOdyssey, a large-scale synthetic dataset, and data generation framework, for the training and evaluation of long-term fine-grained tracking algorithms. Our goal is to advance the state-of-the-art by placing emphasis on long videos with naturalistic motion. Toward the goal of naturalism, we animate deformable characters using real-world motion capture data, we build 3D scenes to match the motion capture environments, and we render camera viewpoints using trajectories mined via structure-from-motion on real videos. We create combinatorial diversity by randomizing character appearance, motion profiles, materials, lighting, 3D assets, and atmospheric effects. Our dataset currently includes 104 videos, averaging 2,000 frames long, with orders of magnitude more correspondence annotations than prior work. We show that existing methods can be trained from scratch in our dataset and outperform the published variants. Finally, we introduce modifications to the PIPs point tracking method, greatly widening its temporal receptive field, which improves its performance on PointOdyssey as well as on two real-world benchmarks.

[SIGGRAPH 2025] Photoreal Scene Reconstruction from an Egocentric Device Contributions: 1. We address the importance of employing visual-inertial bundle adjustment (VIBA) that accounts for the rolling-shutter behavior of the RGB camera. This provides a continuous camera trajectory to model pixel movement in neural reconstruction. Our experiments demonstrate that using VIBA consistently improves the novel view quality in Gaussian Splatting by +1 dB in PSNR. 2. We introduce a rasterization-based image formulation pipeline that addresses common artifacts in physical image formation, including rolling shutter, lens shading, exposure, and gain compensation. Our approach is distinct in that we represent image poses as posed pixel arrays sampled from a continuous trajectory, rather than assigning a single camera pose per image, and preserve the merit of Gaussian rasterization. Unlike existing methods that require ray-tracing Gaussians, e.g., [Moenne-Loccoz et al. 2024], our formulation is applicable to general-purpose rasterization-based Gaussian splatting. When applied to 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) [Kerbl et al. 2023], our approach can further enhance reconstruction quality by +1 dB. We outperform existing baselines and demonstrate a substantial quality improvement in handling complex scenes observed by egocentric devices. 3. To reduce the effect of blur from rapid head motion in darker indoor scenes, we propose a strategy of deliberately underexposing input videos during capture, inspired by HDR+ [Hasinoff et al. 2016]. We demonstrate that we can reconstruct high-quality, noise-free scene radiance from noisy, dim input videos, and further render sharp, blur-free videos at a higher dynamic range.

Physics-based Motion Retargeting from Sparse Inputs paper page: Avatars are important to create interactive and immersive experiences in virtual worlds. One challenge in animating these characters to mimic a user's motion is that commercial AR/VR products consist only of a headset and controllers, providing very limited sensor data of the user's pose. Another challenge is that an avatar might have a different skeleton structure than a human and the mapping between them is unclear. In this work we address both of these challenges. We introduce a method to retarget motions in real-time from sparse human sensor data to characters of various morphologies. Our method uses reinforcement learning to train a policy to control characters in a physics simulator. We only require human motion capture data for training, without relying on artist-generated animations for each avatar. This allows us to use large motion capture datasets to train general policies that can track unseen users from real and sparse data in real-time. We demonstrate the feasibility of our approach on three characters with different skeleton structure: a dinosaur, a mouse-like creature and a human. We show that the avatar poses often match the user surprisingly well, despite having no sensor information of the lower body available. We discuss and ablate the important components in our framework, specifically the kinematic retargeting step, the imitation, contact and action reward as well as our asymmetric actor-critic observations. We further explore the robustness of our method in a variety of settings including unbalancing, dancing and sports motions.

SceNeRFlow: Time-Consistent Reconstruction of General Dynamic Scenes abs: paper page: Existing methods for the 4D reconstruction of general, non-rigidly deforming objects focus on novel-view synthesis and neglect correspondences. However, time consistency enables advanced downstream tasks like 3D editing, motion analysis, or virtual-asset creation. We propose SceNeRFlow to reconstruct a general, non-rigid scene in a time-consistent manner. Our dynamic-NeRF method takes multi-view RGB videos and background images from static cameras with known camera parameters as input. It then reconstructs the deformations of an estimated canonical model of the geometry and appearance in an online fashion. Since this canonical model is time-invariant, we obtain correspondences even for long-term, long-range motions. We employ neural scene representations to parametrize the components of our method. Like prior dynamic-NeRF methods, we use a backwards deformation model. We find non-trivial adaptations of this model necessary to handle larger motions: We decompose the deformations into a strongly regularized coarse component and a weakly regularized fine component, where the coarse component also extends the deformation field into the space surrounding the object, which enables tracking over time. We show experimentally that, unlike prior work that only handles small motion, our method enables the reconstruction of studio-scale motions.

In my experience, robot 'generalists' are often jacks of all trades but masters of none. In training across multiple tasks and environments, robot policies fail to generalize robustly and effectively to each particular test setting. What if at test time, we non-parametrically *retrieved* “relevant” data from the training set and used it to significantly improve the performance of few-shot imitation learning to be robust to various test time scenes. Notably, we are *not* collecting lots of new data, just training more on sub-components of the same training data! Now, we’re certainly not the first to suggest retrieval, but in our new work - STRAP, we show how retrieving relevant *sub-trajectories* from offline datasets can significantly increase data reuse across tasks, when paired with an appropriate metric space. We are excited to share our work “Event-Aided Sharp Radiance Field Reconstruction for Fast-Flying Drones” published in IEEE Transactions on Robotics IEEE Transactions on Robotics (T-RO), which tackles sharp radiance field reconstruction under agile drone motion, where RGB frames are heavily motion-blurred and pose priors become unreliable! 4 years in the making! Code & dataset released! PDF: Code & Dataset: Full Narrated Video: High-speed flight is essential for time- and battery-constrained missions (e.g., inspection, exploration, search & rescue). However, fast motion corrupts visual data with severe motion blur and introduces drift/noise in visual-inertial odometry, making NeRF-based 3D reconstruction particularly brittle. We propose a unified framework that leverages asynchronous #EventCamera streams together with motion-blurred frames to reconstruct high-fidelity radiance fields from agile drone flights. Our key idea is to embed event-image fusion directly into radiance field optimization while jointly refining a shared, continuous-time camera trajectory initialized from event-based VIO. This enables us to recover sharp radiance fields and accurate trajectories without ground-truth supervision during training. We validate our method on synthetic data and on real sequences captured by a drone flying up to 2 m/s. Despite severe blur and noisy pose priors, our method preserves fine scene details and achieves a performance gain of over 50% on real-world data compared to state-of-the-art methods. Code and data are now online for CameraHMR, our state-of-the-art parametric 3D human pose and shape (HPS) estimation method that will appear at hashtag#3DV2025. There are 4 key contributions that make it so accurate and robust: 1. To get accurate 3D shape and pose as well as good alignment to image features, you need to know the focal length of the camera. To solve this, we train HumanFOV to compute the field of view. 2. We introduce CameraHMR, which integrates HumanFOV into HMR2.0 to exploit the estimated focal length. 3. To get accurate pseudo ground truth (pGT) training data, we compute the focal length for images in 4DHumans dataset and modify SMPLify to take this into account. 4. But SMPLify only uses sparse 2D keypoints, which do not capture body shape. So we train a dense surface keypoint detector, DenseKP, on BEDLAM and run it on 4DHumans, resulting in improved body shape. The resulting method is CamSMPLify. We iterate training CameraHMR and running CamSMPLify on the training set initialized with CameraHMR. This results in much improved pGT for 4DHumans and a SOTA single-image HMR method.

We need about 1,000 interceptors a day, and we can supply at least another 1,000 a day to our allies. Second, we know how to build radar and acoustic coverage to respond to how “shaheds” and other drones approach. Third, we have software that allows radars to keep working even under electronic warfare jamming. In real time, we analyze enemy frequencies and respond to them. And because of this system, we understand how effective our defense is against almost every attack drone, and we can move our positions and air defense to get better results. This iPad gives full control of the situation because we have a system for using our defense tools. If a “shahed” needs to be stopped in the Emirates – we can do it. If it needs to be stopped in Europe or the United Kingdom – we can do it. It is a matter of technology, investment, and cooperation.
