Check out this miniature comedian! Just as young children develop over time, so too does the sophistication of their humor. Infants take particular delight in visual/physical forms of humor (silly faces, misuse of objects), for example. When I was little I held one of those plastic rain bonnets in my hand. The kind that fold up and you can put over your hair. I “snapped” it shut and looked over and my baby sister who was in her crib at the time burst out laughing. My mother and I looked over stunned. Mom said “do it again!” I did and she laughed! I don’t mean baby giggles. I mean an actual laugh. From a little baby. We did it over and over and over. We were all laughing!

From a 3-year-old in the back of the car: What does ‘mean’ mean? [he laughed a lot] Me: ‘Mean’ means ‘mean’ [he laughed more and asked the same question several times, laughing each time at the answer]

& Motthew is a really good name for a pet moth ❤️

When my first child was 2, I was getting her ready to go out. I said, "OK, time to boogie." And she blew her nose on me. Then she burst out laughing and said, "Boogie!" Good one, huh?

He’s adorable! And I love his punning, boy after my own heart. I remember trying on a red coat when out shopping with my son when he was around 2 (early talker) and he said ‘oh you’re all red Mummy…like a book’.

Reminds me of my kid. He was abt 2 yo & we were in the ER. I gave him my I-pod to keep him entertained (it was a very long wait). He dropped it and started referring to it as the I-drop

Love the belly laugh! My toddler son named his hermit crab “Shellvis.” As in Shell + Elvis! We always loved that name, and he thought he was quite clever, too’

Our preschooler was playing with a toy boat, acting out a dialogue among passengers and I overheard, “Don’t be afraid. You’re on a relationSHIP.”

My grandkids are 2 and 4, both boys, and we have a lot of these! They largely involve creative language and puns about rear-ends and what happens there, so I’ll spare you 😜

His mother wasn’t to thrilled…….but a Titi’s job is to teach fun. Lol
