BACK STORY: A teacher friend told me this story about teaching kids words with different suffix examples and when he asked his students for words ending in “an”, a grade one student said “lesbian”. No big deal but the writers and I thought it would be funny to run with that a bit. So we wrote the cold open as you see in the photos of the script. On the day of filming, two of the writers, Shebli Zarghami and @Jessie_Gabe came to me and suggested we add “words that end in “on”-prostitution”. So I ran with that and the kids and I improvised what you see in the scene. At that point, we were done with the scene and very happy about it. In my opinion, what Jessie and Sheb suggested next is what made the scene go viral BUT, we were too late because they thought of it AFTER, we had already shot (videoed) the kids. I spoke with Keith our director and suggested it was worth grabbing a wild line (no camera) of adding one more word suffix and joke that Jessie and Sheb thought of: “Words that end in “re”- crack whore”. It would be take too much time to turn all the cameras around to shoot Faith saying two works (crack whore) but I thought the line was so funny, that it was worth grabbing it. So we did and the that’s why you don’t see Faith saying the line but for me, it took the scene to another level. On this show, we always added lines on the day from anyone who had them, especially the writers. We wrote great scripts but sometimes we found these little moments on the day of filming that added to the scene. We never stopped looking for the funny and in this case the instincts (and comedy) of Jessie and Sheb took this scene to another level!! #MrD

This scene in Ghostbusters is not how I remember it as a kid. I feel certain that I watched a version on VHS as a kid where Venkman busts into swing track here. But on all versions I’ve ever seen after has a cut straight to the bank scene.. And the music edit does seem to cut abruptly. However I’ve looked and looked.. and cannot find any evidence to this online. It possible I imagined it. But I thought I’d check to see if any of you had seen this? Or please forward this to anyone that might be able to shed light.

Collateral (2004) Michael Mann on using music to reveal character. "As research, music enters early for me. If you can find that piece of music which evokes the central emotion of one of your characters, some pivotal crisis where he or she must rouse themselves from despair and manifest something very aggressive within his or her own mind—this becomes the piece of music for that moment. If I want to quantify how a character is feeling and thinking, in a way that is replicable, so I can re-evoke that emotion many, many times, finding the right piece of music is positively essential. Not only as I prepare the scene—but as I shoot the scene, as I direct the actors, and finally, as I edit the scene. One specific example comes to mind in Collateral, when the coyotes cross in front of the cab. For me, that was a watershed in the story's progression. Each of the two principle characters is submerging into his own perspective of what life is: a retrospective moment; a prelude to a violent confrontation. The song "Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave nailed that moment for me. It became an indelible part of planning, sustaining, and executing that scene."

The final scene in The Godfather Part II, with the family gathered around the dinner table, was originally going to include Marlon Brando, but he pulled out at the very last minute. Coppola had to rewrite a whole new ending the night before the shoot. He explains: “It’s a very interesting story, because I had written this scene that we go back to, around the period just before the first Godfather, when they were all young… My idea was that they would come together, finally, at the end, as a family. And the end of the movie would be a big, beautiful scene with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, sort of summing up the whole saga that had gone down. And I was negotiating with Marlon Brando right up to the last minute saying, “Marlon, please, just one day. We’ll give you this money.” But Marlon was so mad at Paramount - for ultimately not paying him any money on the first picture, or whatever he was mad about - And although I didn’t know it until the last day, ultimately, it wasn’t going to be possible to have him in the picture. So I went to bed that night really worried. I had lost the end of my movie. I had to shoot it the next day. I had no idea what to do. I was sleeping in the Chateau Marmont Hotel. I had this scene. I had paid all this money to get Jimmy Caan to come back and some of the other actors to be in the last scene. And in the middle of the night, I just had this idea. And I wrote it - which is that they were all gathered for a surprise birthday party for the Don. And so after this scene plays out, in which Michael’s decision to join the Marines is kind of examined relative to really what all we know is going to happen, and what this young, beautiful, collegiate man who’s a war hero, who goes straight, is going to end up to be: this man without a heart, who’s killed his own brother and alienated his wife… And I thought there could be one beautiful scene with him and Don Corleone as we remember him from the first movie. Since Marlon didn’t come, I made it the surprise party, and I built it up to the point where they all said, “Oh, he’s here. He’s here.” And they all run out of the room. And as you’re waiting for Marlon to come into the room, you just stay on Al… And I came up with the solution at, like - three in the morning. And the next day they said, “Well, Marlon’s not coming.” And I said, “That’s all right. I’ve got a scene we can do without him.” And it was this one. Also, I like that staging kind of, especially about families who ultimately dissolve in front of your eyes, the idea that you have a table full of people. And one by one, someone argues or someone goes off, and then you’re just left with one … And everything else now is just sound. Charlie Cox says the scene with Jon Bernthal's Punisher in Episode 4 was shot the last day before the strikes which ultimately helped for the decision to overhaul 'DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN' S1: "What I heard was when they were then looking at the show and editing it and putting it together, that scene made it by one day. And the showed that scene to some of the high-ups at Disney and Marvel and they were like, this is great. This is the show we want to make. Jon [Bernthal] wrote most of that scene as well. So we are very grateful to him for potentially leading us back on track."

Today we grieve for Australians who have been tragically affected by this most horrendous terror attack in Bondi. Bondi is a strong symbol of Australia, so it is no coincidence that it was chosen as the scene of this attack. While we grieve now, at the right time, when dawn comes, we can work together to make Australia safe again. Senator Pauline Hanson is a strong leader, a person who will provide the answers to a country desperately seeking a safer, happier future. There was a time when any thoughts of this type of horror were unimaginable. We didn’t grow up in an Australia like this, but it has very tragically become a reality. What has happened is not the Australia so many people have come here to settle in, seeking a haven from this type of violence known in other parts of the world. We can return to a safe Australia, safe for our children, safe to gather family and friends in public spaces to enjoy religious events, and safe in their communities. Returning to that safe Australia is a priority for our movement, for our leader, Pauline Hanson, and all her team.

mc: during wlgyt, a poster with chungseob's back reveal and i ask staff who was that but they didn't answer me. they didn't tell us until the end even we ask who is the actor behind it but no answer, it is bcs it's was a spoiler that needs a tight security? seonho: the director talk to me during our last team dinner that they made something like an album or something "i didn't include chungseob because i was afraid it would be a spoiler," he said. mc: your first appearance was during the closet scene right? and i was like oh? i know that actor is let me find it later but still i didn't recognize you. seonho: back then, it took almost 4 hours each time just to get the makeup and styling done. they had to attach each strand of hair one by one. so we put an incredible amount of time and effort into it and in a way, i was actually happy that people didn't recognize me. mc: and during the time that you asked permission for marriage you made a cute scene like- jungie: abonim~ mc: i heard that there's a lot of adlibs. seonho: it was bcs the director instructed me where to where to walk as other actors need to be seen on camera angles, so ofc the actors need to be on angle and while having their scene i came in while thinking 'i need to be close to my father in law while smiling' and then i started to walk towards them so i did the slapstick to fill in the gaps.. just like we do during rehearsal and the good thing about this is we filmed when IU said the "omonim~" first and i remember it to clearly and do it the same.

mc: during wlgyt, a poster with chungseob's back reveal and i ask staff who was that but they didn't answer me. they didn't tell us until the end even we ask who is the actor behind it but no answer, it is bcs it's was a spoiler that needs a tight security? seonho: the director talk to me during our last team dinner that they made something like an album or something "i didn't include chungseob because i was afraid it would be a spoiler," he said. mc: your first appearance was during the closet scene right? and i was like oh? i know that actor is let me find it later but still i didn't recognize you. seonho: back then, it took almost 4 hours each time just to get the makeup and styling done. they had to attach each strand of hair one by one. so we put an incredible amount of time and effort into it and in a way, i was actually happy that people didn't recognize me. mc: and during the time that you asked permission for marriage you made a cute scene like- jungie: abonim~ mc: i heard that there's a lot of adlibs. seonho: it was bcs the director instructed me where to where to walk as other actors need to be seen on camera angles, so ofc the actors need to be on angle and while having their scene i came in while thinking 'i need to be close to my father in law while smiling' and then i started to walk towards them so i did the slapstick to fill in the gaps.. just like we do during rehearsal and the good thing about this is we filmed when IU said the "omonim~" first and i remember it to clearly and do it the same.
