I'll be impressed when they're farming, doing house chores, building infrastructure, helping the elderly, etc. The movement is impressive but the last thing we need is moon walking robots right now.

Quite similar to G1 Needs more improvement but as a first model is really good, good diversification from honow

If even Honor can make a humanoid robot, it means humanoid is a bubble now

From a force perspective, what stands out immediately: 1. Distal Mass Bias The forearms and hands visually read heavy relative to:    •   shoulder joint size    •   scapular base    •   thoracic mass That creates a distal loading problem. In humans: Force wants to originate proximal → transmit distal. Here: Mass appears distal → requiring proximal compensation. That means: The shoulder motors must constantly stabilize under gravity before producing movement. That reduces fluidity. ⸻ 2. Scapular Suspension Absence In the frames you shared, the arms move from the shoulder joint, but there is no visible scapular glide relationship. Human arms: Float from scapular suspension over ribs. This robot: Appears hinged from a fixed upper trunk casing. That makes: • Arm movement look segmented • Rotation look mechanical • Load absorption limited ⸻ 3. Torque Without Elastic Recoil When it leans into diagonal poses, you can see:    •   Hip torque initiated    •   Arm extended But there is no visible elastic recoil through: pelvis → rib → scapula → arm. It moves as articulated segments, not as a continuous force field. That’s why it can hit the shapes, but it does not look “alive.” ⸻ 4. Extremity Weight and Control Demand Heavy extremities increase: • Moment arm length • Rotational inertia • Energy cost per correction Humans compensate with: micro adjustments through fascia and breath. This machine must compensate with: motor torque + algorithmic correction. That’s expensive energetically.

Dancing robots are sooooo 2023

Another 'robot puppet show.' The choreography is neat, but it’s still just pre-programmed scripts. Feels more like investor bait than an actual functional android. Cool performance, but we’re nowhere near real autonomy yet

🥱 Lame. Just some random party tricks.

It would have been more interesting if they had given him lots of sharp metal teeth and a mouth that could bite.

Looks suspiciously close to a G1

Whenever there’s a human-like 'skin' on a robot, watch out for manipulation. They use our natural empathy to sell us a pre-programmed show as if it were a conscious being. It’s marketing, not autonomy.

Possibly repackaged Unitree G1 under license. Exposed joints are the same. Battery panel is covered.

Is that not just a modded Unitree G1?
