Seedance 2.0 Emotional Coordinates Meet Valence-Arousal. I’ve been experimenting with valence-arousal prompting in Seedance 2.0 on mitte.ai, and surprisingly, a lot of it actually works. Most likely this should transfer to many other video/image models too. Before we start, I should mention that a lot of attempts can hit safety/violence filters depending on how extreme the emotional state becomes. My test prompts were also intentionally very simple and open-ended, which probably increased that. Valence measures how positive or negative an emotional state is. Arousal measures how calm or activated it is. So instead of writing: “sad, anxious, emotionally overwhelmed” you can try things like: valence: low arousal: high I tested mostly numeric values at first, but honestly I’ve been getting much better and more stable results with transition-based prompting like this: “The emotional state gradually shifts from high valence and low arousal to low valence and high arousal.” That feels much more model-friendly right now. I think this could become really useful for subtle acting, emotional transitions, cinematic dialogue scenes, uncanny performances and mood-driven storytelling. Leaving example Seedance 2.0 prompts, the Valence-Arousal infographic and a GPT Image 2 prompt below.

Seedance 2.0 vs. Seedance 2.0 Mini Actually, I tested this directly in Dreamina. It's already available on my account, but it seems Dreamina hasn't announced it on their social media yet 😆 Anyway, here are my first impressions. Basically, it's not bad... not bad at all. However, when I tested it with something more action-oriented, the difference was huge. It depends on your goal, but I don't think I'll use Seedance 2.0 Mini for action-heavy prompts. I could be wrong though, and I need to do more testing. For something that looks simpler and more natural, Seedance 2.0 Mini is surprisingly good. You can still notice some glitches or artifacts from time to time, but overall it's pretty decent. It's definitely not worse than the current version of Grok Imagine Video 😂😂In fact, this is what Grok Imagine should be. They're almost there but Instead, they're going backwards. I think only Tetsuo and Freeze keep saying Grok Imagine is the best model in the world LMAO 🤣🤣🤣 Still, I think Seedance 2.0 Mini delivers exactly what it promises. It's cheaper, faster, although it comes with a slight sacrifice in quality (well obviously it's a mini version of it), although not as much as I expected based on my initial tests. I think in the end, you need to identify your needs and decide when to use Mini, when to use Fast, and when to use the full version. At this stage, I can't say much yet, but I'll keep exploring it further. Meanwhile, check out the video comparison I made here.

Claude Fable 5, Claude Opus 5 and ChatGPT 5.6 Sol were asked to paint the Mona Lisa in a browser, and all three rebuilt Leonardo's actual 500 year old technique on their own. The entire prompt was one line: "Create a single HTML file that animates the painting of the Mona Lisa layer by layer, the way an old master would build it up". A few things I noticed after a few days of testing: - Reference images work like they do in Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0. Drop in characters, locations, objects, and you can build much more dynamic shots than start/end frames allow. - Audio is clean. English dialogue comes out clear. If you don't want a soundtrack, a simple "no music" in the prompt gives you SFX only. - 1080p looks great but tends toward sharp edges. I usually generate at 720p and upscale with Magnific Video Upscaler. - Got surprisingly far with simple prompts. - Happy Horse is around 75% of the price of Seedance 2 at 1080p. Fun trivia: "Ma" means horse in Chinese, which also happens to be Jack Ma's last name. Make of that what you will. Props to the team at Alibaba Cloud team!
