On August 12, 2023, on a live show, Aidan Kearney played a game he called "Canton Roulette" in which he would randomly call investigators, witnesses, and their families involved in the Read case for the purpose of harassment and taunting. On August 12, 2023, on a live show, Aidan Kearney played a game he called "Canton Roulette" in which he would randomly call investigators, witnesses, and their families involved in the Read case for the purpose of harassment and taunting. That night, he called Jillian Daniels, aunt of Colin Albert, and started the call with "Are you at all worried that your godson Colin is going to go to jail?" The calls between the pair, which included several hang ups and call backs lasted roughly 9 minutes, and included Kearney repeatedly telling Daniels he had "proof" Colin was involved in John O'Keefe's murder to which Daniels, expectedly, became increasingly more upset. At the time, Kearney was working with defendant Karen Read and her legal team who were the sources of Kearney's "proof". Kearney and his followers had been relentlessly harassing Colin Albert based on Karen Read's false allegation that Albert was involved in John O'Keefe's death. Two days later on August 14, 2023, David Yannetti, Read's attorney, sent a clip of the call to Kearney saying the call was "hilarious" and "devastating" as well as congratulating Kearney on his harassment work with a "Cudos." In what world is it acceptable for a defendant and her defense team to use an activist to seek out and harass witnesses and their families in a pending murder case? What world?
