$PLTR Tom Lee on Palantir's valuation: "I think Palantir is an example of what they call an n=1 business developing products that really seem like magic for the companies that use them. Palantir is opening up so many markets that if they were a venture capital firm they'd be getting carry for how they transform businesses. To me, I think this is still a market discovering how to define the valuation model for Palantir but that doesn't mean its a bubble, people would've said that about Tesla in 2018 since it looked incredibly expensive and Tesla has been a huge performer since then."

Black people that find success through the acceptance or permission of white supremacy get amnesia; And forget they are the exception, not the rule. Just because you made it does not mean every Black person can navigate the same oppressive systems that have taken from us for generations. What Pharrell Williams said sounds like someone who does not recognize the privilege he carries and the fact that everyone does not have that same story. And nobody is saying they’re are trying to be Pharrell. Some of us are simply trying to get our small Black owned businesses off the ground. So when you tell people not to support Black owned businesses just because they’re black, you harm those smaller businesses first. And you’re doing white supremacy’s job for them. Please stop. 🛑

Nice catch-22, and 100% illegal in the US and EU: This tactic is usually used by companies who are losing MRR and try to force customers to stay. It's horrible and illegal but it works: the harder you make it to cancel, the lower % your churn goes, but of course all for the wrong reasons: Recently the FTC has implemented the “Click-to-Cancel” rule, mandating that businesses make canceling subscriptions as straightforward as signing up. This rule prohibits companies from requiring consumers to contact support to cancel and applies to most subscription services I hate doing business with these kinds of companies So I'm switching all my bug boards to Featurebase, they've been super responsive and don't use shady tactics like this

Sounds helpful at first. Until you think about it. They just told the entire internet where valuables are stashed. They turned a private situation into public content. And the person who lost it now has to hope strangers don’t get there first. Good intentions. Bad execution. What would you have done instead?
