The Daily Mail still hasn’t updated its headline: “Bullet used to kill Charlie Kirk did NOT match rifle allegedly used by suspect Tyler Robinson, new court filing claims” They should be ashamed of themselves. An earlier case filing cites the ATF’s finding on the bullet: “The result of the comparison was inconclusive.” If there's an “inconclusive” result, it does not mean that the bullet was not fired from that rifle. It means that there was not enough data on the bullet jacket fragment recovered from the autopsy to positively match it or not match it with a bullet test-fired from the rifle. That's ALL it means.

On March 14, 2026, Gwinnett County Police officers were working a special detail following reports of a possible teen takeover. During the operation, officers observed a male wearing a ski mask walking from behind the building where the takeover was reported to be taking place. Due to the suspicious circumstances, aviation officers assisting with the operation were asked to maintain visual surveillance of the male. Aviation units followed the male to a nearby parking lot, where he was observed setting down a bookbag and walking away from it. The male then placed his electric bike into the trunk of a friend’s vehicle and left the area. Officers retrieved the abandoned bookbag and located a firearm inside. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and officers made contact with 33-year-old James Prayer, who was seated in the passenger seat. Prayer stated he did not understand how he could be charged in connection with the firearm since it was not on his person and believed officers did not have the authority to charge him. Prayer quickly learned that abandoning a firearm in a parking lot does not prevent you from being charged, especially when you are a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

I’d be appealing this as well… Lees doesn’t lead with the head at all. Neither this incident or the Dupree on Batch one should result in bans (even though that’s the direction of travel this season) - both are accidental contact in the act of tackling. Can’t make heads disappear. If the disciplinary loves a bit mitigation does Thompson not lead with his head angled into contact?
