"I had to leave in a hurry and didn’t have time to say goodbye to my family." Husna left Afghanistan in 2021. Today, she is studying international studies at the University of Kentucky and working at the Lex Human Rights Commission. Her goal is to advocate for others through a career in human rights. This is one of three stories featured in our new documentary on Afghan students rebuilding their lives through higher education, with support from the Qatar Scholarship for Afghans Project.
