ARMY CAT update: working on rigging the rest of the body, its at the stage where I can make this little guy dance #b3d going through a lot of effort rigging the individual clothing and accessories to make sure they deform correctly, its a pain in the ass but very worth it imo

Trying to make my face rigging a little bit easier! Each bone has an Action Constraint that's tied to an animation and they're driven by the Master bones. I'm just wondering if this is a standard way to make more complex face rigs, and what are some other ways? #blender #b3d

Added some more automation to my magazine rig 😁 Using drivers i'm able to enable the property, as soon as the magazine gets close to the threshold. It has its limits, but from animating just one bone and a property, i think it's pretty good! #blender #rig #rigging

LETS GOOOOO! I simplified the setup a little by converting the bowstring part, to mesh. I just have to add some correction to the string on the cam to push it in as it rotates, to fake the string pulling off😁 And then do the same for the other 3 cams... #blender #rigging #rig

Weight painting lips and eyelids has always been a major pain when it comes to character rigging, so our co-founder Vladimir Mokhov spent a couple of weeks and made a tool to automate the entire thing. 🔶 This will be included as part of a toolkit for our upcoming Ultimate Character Rigging course (in Blender) at TOAnimate 4️⃣ The tool uses 4 points on a loop (corners and upper/lower mid points) and breaks it into quadrants, then distributes weights evenly along the points within the quadrants based on the step count, calculating distance between the points. This makes sure that every point is weighted identically and consistently. The weight generation/distribution is done through geometry nodes, and the rest is with python scripting. The goal of this tool is to make facial rigging way more painless for our students and save them time. 📆 The course is coming later this year, inside it, we'll be covering tool development such as this as well as the entire process of creating movie-quality character rigs. 🚀 Sign up for our newsletter (bottom of the page) to stay updated: #toanimate #b3d #blender3d #python #geonodes #rigging

Just finished up the wrist! I found that, using 4 bones for each axis of correction and parenting that to a semi-rotating bone works really nicely! The forearm twisting correction is something simple but very effective at reducing the "candy wrapper" effect. #blender #rigging
