Coal power stations are unreliable and expensive. They're continually breaking down, causing blackouts and driving up electricity bills. The sooner we transition to renewables, the sooner we can have more reliable, cheaper energy. Mark Ogge #auspol

Coal-fired power is by far the cheapest, most secure, most reliable NEM rules dishonestly favouring expensive solar & wind hurt operation of coal power stations One Nation policies will immediately cut power bills 20%. And later with a return to coal will cut power bills in half

This is great news for the US's renewable energy industry 🇺🇸⚡️ @ACCIONAEnergia's largest photovoltaic plant globally has begun supplying renewable energy to Texas, the heart of the U.S. oil industry ⤵️

@MarkOgge This is one of the your most dishonest talking points. Coal is not “unreliable”. The issue is that we have allowed our coal-fired plants to deteriorate b/c we listened to people like you. China maintains their existing coal-fired plants & builds new ones. They are reliable.

@MarkOgge What would happen if you didn't service your car properly for 10 years? Enjoy the blackouts moron.

@MarkOgge Lying pos. Where’s the final cost of renewables? You morons keep crapping on about how cheap it is without knowing the final cost. How do you do that? A crystal ball? 🤡🤡

@MarkOgge Lies x 💯 .Coal fired power stations, when not having to compete against bullshit subsidised renewables, are cheaper. They are reliable because companies can afford to invest in maintenance. The climate zealots have made coal unviable here. Overseas, they continue to be built. WHY??

@MarkOgge The coal plants weren't designed to act as firming for unreliable green waste. Operating them in the least efficient way adds to maintenance and cost. Once again, you've got the whole situation arse backwards and are proud of it.

@MarkOgge Lies. Not even credible lies. Renewables are literally the definition of unreliable. They’re GUARANTEED to not work most of the time. Hence why they can never be cheaper…

@MarkOgge As an energy professional, this is completely garbage. The Australia Institute is an ideological institution with direct ties to the ALP. Coal power has proven to be very reliable and cheap over at least 5 decades.
