Code editing has been deprecated I still need to be there to feed insights, but the actual editing is fully automated. I now program by just talking to Sonnet on terminal. This complex refactor should take days, and it was done by lunchtime. How long til it is fully autonomous?

Also 80% of the interventions are me explaining Kind's syntax. If only Claude was fine tuned on it. I considered maining TypeScript, but that 0.7s startup time is a productivity clear. Agda/Lean even worse. Haskell perhaps? Not sure if GHC likes 1000's of small files tho

Today's refactor cost $53

yes and then something very precise goes wrong that the language model cannot fix, and you're forced to dig through code you do not understand, which ends up taking longer than just writing the code yourself

That's the advantage of understanding all of it 🥰 At many points the AI made mistakes, so, yes, you absolutely need to know what you're doing. Sonnet will type for you, not think for you. It is kinda like a buff that gives you +700% WPM

Can you share how much you spend on claude API per month? Just to have an idea.

@matheusmr95 💀

ultimately we won't bother with coding languages made for humans

💯 That's the obvious logical conclusion!

I bet you wrote the tool using sonnet as well. The bigger these models become, the greater their ability to bootstrap both themselves and better UX to host themselves into for agentic human pilots.

I wrote it using GPT-4! Sonnet didn't exist
