codex computer use uses secret macos api it makes codex to work while you work with your computer, no need to use virtualized machine but that secret macos api is no longer a secret cuz i found it and re implemented it as an mcp lmao

WOW! I'm so excited about this. OpenAI Developers said Codex was good at Computer Use, but I wasn't prepared for this. For the last two weeks I've been working on a Computer Use skill to work with Linux. And while I had some success, it was a pretty frustrating experience. That is...until the breakthrough. Using accessibility tools, Codex can now control my entire computer, not just the browser. There are limits to this, of course, but what a time to be alive. This is it, native PCVR on MacOS! The OpenXR SDK can be compiled on MacOS, So I implemented a runtime and a streaming app. Godot supports OpenXR on MacOS so I use it to test my integration. Unity could work too and of course native C++. 1/x

You can't build iOS apps without a Mac, so we gave Devin one. Devin Cloud Agents now run macOS, with Xcode, iOS simulator, and your signing setup, all in a real macOS environment (with full computer use). In this demo, Devin builds a native iOS game, then plays and tests it with computer use. Devin then sends a screen recording of the gameplay along with a test report for my review. With Namespace you get as many macOS environments as you'd like, configurable with many major versions of macOS operating system and Xcode.

This teaches you to build an LLM-based agent that uses a computer interface by generating mouse clicks and keystrokes. Computer Use is an important, emerging capability for LLMs that will let AI agents do many more tasks than were possible before, since it lets them interact with interfaces designed for humans to use, rather than only tools that provide explicit API access.
