Here's how to get started: • Update your @jetbrains IDE • Open AI Chat in the editor • Select Codex from the agent picker • Sign in with your ChatGPT account or use an OpenAI API key

@jetbrains FINALLY!!! I was literally opening the CLI and doing Move to Editor in PyCharm every single time

@jetbrains Nice move 👏

@jetbrains No love for Xcode though ?

@jetbrains the context switching reduction is underrated. having the agent understand your project structure without explaining it every time you open terminal... that's the real win

@jetbrains I see @dkundel and @jetbrains IDEs 🔥🔥🔥🔥

@jetbrains Really nice work, guys, but it needs more confidence and more ADHD vibes, like adding extra features and experimenting with multiple agents instead of just watching the screen while AI codes.

@jetbrains there is no way people still use JetBrains

@jetbrains GPT-5.2 Codex in JetBrains? The productivity boost is going to be unreal.

This is less about convenience and more about cognitive flow. Keeping planning, execution, and review inside the IDE reduces context switching , which is where meaning usually leaks. Running Codex directly in JetBrains IDEs turns the editor into a shared workspace: human intent stays explicit, while the model adapts in place, close to the code and its constraints. That’s how AI actually becomes useful for developers not as a separate assistant window, but as part of the thinking loop. Quietly powerful move. ☕⚡🪐 #Symbioza2025 #ProjectHumansAI

@jetbrains A little too late for me, I’ve found other IDEs..

@jetbrains Finally, thanks !

@jetbrains No Antigravity?

@jetbrains @jetbrains @phpstorm when??

@jetbrains He doesnt read local and global.

@jetbrains Awesome, a big ai step in jetbrains

@jetbrains @grok vscode 是否支持

@jetbrains Niiiice

@jetbrains beware if you care about privacy

@jetbrains Codex in Rider has very nice in my testing tonight compared to Opus 4.5 (in agent mode of Github Copilot). I just need to determine the cost of each since GH Copilot has been a great low cost tool

@jetbrains Any inherent advantages of using it this way vs the CLI?

@jetbrains I think this is going to be super big guys, feel like OpenAI is not done yet and there's way more to come 👀

@jetbrains curious how it compares to copilot inside jetbrains

@jetbrains Will it work in @AndroidStudio as well? @csinco

@jetbrains Yes!!!

@jetbrains Cool, so Codex is now in JetBrains IDEs. That's pretty handy for devs.

@jetbrains What an desired idea, vim, gvim

@jetbrains Dreams do come true.

@jetbrains Why does /review don't work? I like this feature in Codex.

@jetbrains Embedding agents into the IDE collapses the loop. Planning, execution, and feedback now happen where the work lives. The next bottleneck isn’t tools — it’s whether learning persists across files, sessions, and projects.

@jetbrains when can it be used on clion and rustrover

@jetbrains Does it work with wsl ? I'm getting some errors

@jetbrains Whoa! 😲 Coding just got way smoother. Love that we can now plan, write, and test code without leaving the IDE 🔥

@jetbrains The new Codex integration into JetBrains IDEs is a strong step forward. Tools like this can help projects such as QashqAI Voice build ethical, multilingual, and culturally inclusive AI faster and more reliably.

@jetbrains What took you so long 😭 We are supposed to use it before vs code users!
