Commandos from the Colombian National Police's "Jungla" unit were extracted by helicopter under heavy enemy fire after successfully completing an operation that destroyed an illegal cocaine laboratory in the Tumaco region. According to reports, the unit was ambushed by armed narcotics traffickers concealed among the local civilian population, who attempted to stop the operation. After successfully completing the mission, the commandos were evacuated aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, which provided covering fire using its M134 Minigun during the extraction.
