This movie is terribly wild and painful. You get really bad watching him. I recommend and I don't recommend watching it. One of the best war movies I've ever seen.

Elem Klimov the director of Come and See (1985), said that the movie was so intense that “ambulances were sometimes called” to take away “particularly impressionable viewers.” After one screening, an elderly man stood up and identified himself as “a former soldier and officer of the Wehrmacht.” The officer confirmed the film's events were accurate and stated: "I will testify: everything that is told in this film is the truth. And the most frightening and shameful thing for me is that this film will be seen by my children and grandchildren".

"I think 'Come and See' (1985, Klimov) should be a compulsory viewing because it's the film that nearest nearest depicts certain aspects of the war that I don't think anything else has done." --- Roger Deakins

Come and See (1985) captures war as psychological collapse. You don’t watch it, you survive it. A terrifying portrait of innocence destroyed.
